Version 44 & 45

Post by FTP-ashario » Mon Jan 21, 2008 3:16 am

Deployment today: Mon-21-Jan

Lots of new features in this double-version.

Included in these 2 versions

Feature: Activation of Talents
The player talents all players were allocated about a week ago will now be in effect in the match engine, starting with the friendly matches on Thursday.

Feature: Missed chances displaying in commentary
Starting during the friendlies this Thursday, missed catches, runouts and stumpings will be displayed in the commentary. A percentage of all potential dismissals of this type will undergo a fielding and/or keeping 'skill check. If the skill check fails, the chance will be missed. The higher the fielding/keeping skill of the player, the higher the chance the dimissal opportunity will be taken.
Example of missed chance
Sashti to Lawrence : [Dropped] Lawrence hits it hard in the air towards point. Moidu gets a hand to it but can't quite hold on.
Example of successful skill check
Davuluri to Lawrence : [Catch] Drifting into Lawrence before spinning away, Lawrence fails to move his feet and, wrongly trying to work it to leg, gets an audible outside edge and off he goes.

This feature should give you valuable feedback regarding how much your neglect of fielding training is hurting your team :)

Feature: Misfield/Great Fielding commentary events
A percentage of all deliveries that don't involve a dismissal chance will have a ground-fielding check performed. Failing this skill check will cause runs to be scored on deliveries that would otherwise be a dot ball. A successful skill check will cut down the number of runs that would otherwise have been scored. Again, the higher the fielding/keeping skill of the player, the higher the chance of a successful groundfielding skill check.
Example of failed ground fielding skill check
Sreedevan to Lawrence : [misfield] Lavanis kicks the ground in frustration as his misfield costs the team 3.
Example of successful ground fielding skill check
Poduri to Larter : [great fielding] Sreedevan will surely be leading the fielding drills next week after that wonderful effort.

Feature: Team Rankings
Your team page (My Club -> Team) now displays ranking details for your team in the three leagues you compete in each week. Team rankings are based on your match ratings over the past 8 weeks. This feature should give you a decent idea regarding how good your team is compared to others. Ranking sare updated on Saturday each week.

Pavilion Members Feature: Team Rankings List
You can see a 'top 50' of team rankings via the Country -> Team Rankings page.
This feature is available to all managers for a month, and then will revert to a Pavilion Member feature.

Feature: Runouts credited to fielders
Runouts are now credited to a fielder in the commentary and on the scorecard. In the future, runout statistics will be available.
eg Sreedevan run out (Larter) 1 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:50.00

Explanation: Division 1 and 2 promotion/demotion
To accelerate the number of human managers in the top 2 divisions, the top 2 from division 2 will promote this season, and the bottom 4 will demote. In Division 1, the bottom 4 teams will demote.

Explanation: Bot team aging
Players in bot teams will no longer age during the end of season updates. Since bot teams receive no training, this is really just a cosmetic chang, so that in 5 season's time we dont have bot youth teams filled with players in their early twenties.

Bugfix: Training efficiency
On the Senior Squad page, training efficiency was displaying as 100% even if you had more than the maximum 20 players in your senior squad. This has been fixed.
