won the toss and had a bat on sticky/overcast thought my 106/7 might be somewhat below par, but it turns out it wasn't, opps being skittled for 47 in 11.4 overs, collapsing from 46-4 in 9.1 overs to 47 all out just 2.3 overs later haha. what an effort from the bowlers

won with relative ease, the bowlers restricted their better batting and with just the single wicket lost I managed to chase the target with one over left, so overcast / slow did suit me fine today

Personally, would have preferred a non-brexit related title. Brexit related titles are so last season.

The Horder Initiative won by 5 wickets.

Ruff Royals The Horder Initiative
Batting - Top Order 12,635 13,023
Batting - Middle Order 10,811 10,141
Batting - Tail 5,033 4,940
Bowling - Seam 12,278 (16) 12,802 (16)
Bowling - Spin 13,465 (4) 14,420 (4)
Fielding/Keeping 15,154 15,135
Overall 216,924 218,515

Low scoring game with both sides struggling to hit more than about 6 an over until the last 2 overs of The Horder Initiative's batting when they scored about 16 from the penultimate over and then easily finished off the game in the last over. Until those last 2 overs I thought I was in with a chance of winning it as it was up to about 10 runs per over and that was a rare occurrence in the previous 38 overs.

Bottom of the league and need to start picking up points soon.

K. Loe (rfs) 2-0-4-0, E. McCall 41 (57b), N. Hernandez 44 (42b)
End of over 19 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(92-1) RR 4.84

I thought we were doing pretty well here on a dry pitch but things took a turn for the worse.

K. Loe (rfs) 4-0-15-1, C. Jackson 2 (4b), S. Hodges 1 (1b)
End of over 23 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(115-4) RR 5.00

Hernandez out for 58 so there's 2 new batsmen in and 1 of those is an allrounder.

K. Loe (rfs) 8-0-44-3, M. Roberson 10 (8b), S. Hodges 95 (65b)
End of over 40 (11 runs) - Ruff Royals(258-6) RR 6.45

Fantastic batting from my allrounder, Hodges, and I'm very happy with that total. If we don't win from this position then I'm going to be very annoyed with my players! Frankly, I take that total in a 50 over game.

P. Massey (lfs) 8-2-29-1, H. Larter 8 (12b), B. Midgley 14 (29b)
End of over 28 (7 runs) - Captain Speccy's Muppets(110-4). 149 runs required from 12 overs. RR 3.93 RRR 12.42

We're well on top here. Moses just had 1 dropped and I definitely feel like he deserves some wickets in this game.

Ruff Royals won by 91 runs.

Captain Speccy's Muppets Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 5,869 5,705
Batting - Middle Order 4,322 5,466
Batting - Tail 2,864 3,121
Bowling - Seam 4,900 (32) 6,107 (12)
Bowling - Spin 5,486 (8) 5,646 (28)
Fielding/Keeping 5,694 7,154
Overall 91,523 104,432

We put in a good performance and got a big win. Moses did get a wicket but they were fairly evenly set out.

The Cricket Club up next which should be a tough game; if I can get a win it'll make things very interesting at the top of the table.

Comfortable win, though our bowling was far from impressive. Probably should've scored more with the bat, considering we were 201-2 with 8 overs remaining. O'Keefe for the 2nd week running gets close to a maiden hundred before throwing it away. Any chance you'll be feeling charitable next Wednesday, spark?

This should be a very quick game and I'd be surprised if we made it to 100.

Now the question is: can we make it to the 6th over before they win?
