SA Youth Pull Prize

Postby boscorp » Thu Aug 02, 2018 9:39 am

Hello and welcome to you all, My aim today is to try and get more SA youth involved in cricket. I am offering a 1 season free membership to the manager who gets the best 16 YO SA youth pull. By this i mean a 16 yo youth pull who comes from South Africa. The player with the highest wage pulled this season will be the winner. This includes managers based in other countries as well.
The U19 OD comp starts soon, check in at the forum in SA for updates on our season..
Thanks and Good Luck.

# Player Age Nat Wage
1 Hilton Sippel 16 South Africa $1,249
2 Ernst de Jager 16 South Africa $1,194
3 Raydon Harrity 16 South Africa $1,140
4 Hendrik Knox 16 South Africa $1,092
5 Giepie Treacy 16 South Africa $1,089
6 Roy Bridgman 16 South Africa $1,062
7 Lyall Rissik 16 South Africa $1,038
8 Sailosi Hendricks 16 South Africa $1,023
9 Frederick Kirsten 16 South Africa $1,002
10 Marthinus van Onselen 16 South Africa $1,000

This is the current top 10 for wages. In looking at the quality produced in other nations so far i reckon we still have a good number of quality SA youth to be found. Keep scouting SA and see how much we can improve on this top 10.

Halfway through the season and the top 10 has not changed. I can assure everyone that they still have a chance of finding a better SA youth before the end of the season.
We need more SA managers to recruit SA youth. So far this season the top 10 youth recruited by SA managers consists of only 2 SA youth. 5 of the 10 were recruited for the benefit of Australia? In order for us to be more successful we need more support within the community.

It is quite tragic that we only have TWO 16yo South African youths in the top 10 for wages in South Africa!

For highest rating there are only four South African players in the top 10 which is still alarming.

The one Australian player was purchased though, not that it makes a difference.

Unfortunately many managers are not able to see the benefit of having a young senior player starting at expert level compared to reliable.
