Fatigue & Squad Size Training Penalties

To all managers with good West Indian u19/senior national players

PLEASE make sure your players are not fatigued before training on Monday/Thursday :doh

Also make sure your squad sizes (both youths and seniors individually) don't go over squad size limits

See http://www.fromthepavilion.org/rules.ht ... e=training

Note the section in particular from the game manual:

'Fatigue and Training Speed

If a player is heavily fatigued when the training update occurs, he will train at a slower rate as follows:
Fatigue Level Training Penalty
Satisfactory and below none
Moderate 15%
Weary 30%
Listless 45%
Exhausted 60%
Shattered 75%
Clinically dead 90%

Training Efficiency

There is a limit to the number of players you can train in your youth and senior squads before the effects of overcrowding are felt on training speed. You can train up to 23 players in your youth squad and 22 players in your senior squad before overcrowding penalties come into effect.

For each player in addition to the limit you have in your squad, all players receive 5% less training in a week.

The formula is as follows:
training efficiency% = 100 - ((players in squad - max players allowed) x 5)

For example, if a team has a youth squad containing 30 players, training efficiency will be:
100 - ((30-23) x 5) = 65%, so all youth players in the squad will receive 65% of their normal training for the week.

The number of players in your squad at the time the training update runs is the number used when calculating any training efficiency penalty'

Playing a youth player in 3 games a week is probably too much, especially if they Keep, bowl (seam, particularly fast), captain or bat a lot...

If you want them to play 3 games be very careful basically and rest them as soon as fatigue is any sort of problem. Basically stick to 1 !or 2 games usually :thumbsup

Youths play in SOD and YOD fairly well. Ars might struggle if they bat abit in both.

But dont bother with T20 the experience gain isnt worth it. Play both in SOD and YOD and rest every so often in SOD when needed.

Any experience is better than not, but YOD and SOD are best... :thumbsup

Ideally players should be ave+ experience before they are 19 (especially really good uns). Just be careful to make sure that fatigue is satisfactory or better on Monday (youths) before training update... :)
