Umpires is spot on here (I had a quick look at your squads myself).

TBH I'd fire everyone under $3k wage, play the best XI in your T20 games and play everyone else for experience in OD games.

Oh, and I'd play that 17yr old $1.1k waged guy in all three, only leaving him out of games once he hits moderate fatigue.

Seems like Biddie Massie could have quite a future. ;)

im still not sure, if Biddie being a part in the T20s wouldnt make my team worser than now. On the other hand, i dont see a big chance of being relegated down again. I wouldnt have anything to lose. As im still new in the game, my only question would be... what would be the use of promoting Biddie to the A-Show? I remember, i got told, that their skilltraining doesnt concern if they play or not, they get their training anyway. Is it just for the expirience? Is Expirience THAT important in the game?

Mid season update...

Senior One Day 3.4 - As expected. One win for my youths. Sitting in 7th place.

T20 4.2 - A league full of bots, so 7 wins from 7 with experience for my 16/17 year olds being the only benefit.

Youth One Day 1.1 - All going better than I hoped for. 7 wins from 7 with my nearest rival on 5 wins. Hopefully I can pick up my first top division title in 7 weeks.

My mid-season update.

Senior OD - 3rd with a 4-3 record. No easy games as expected, 1 win ahead of 6th, 2 wins and run rate behind 2nd

T20 - Won last night to go to 4-4 and 3rd place. 2nd division but no easy games everyone from 2nd to 8th capable of beating each other on their day

Youth - 0-7 but showing some signs in the last couple of games including taking 5 wickets against the undefeated Master XI and scoring 235 runs and taking 7 wickets last week.

Goals for remainder of the season are to maintain position in Senior grades and show improvement in the Youth matches as the squad stays together next season.

This was a character building win for my mob. It could be said I was playing against the 7th placed Astwood Allstars. However, they are improving their fitness and ratings and I was missing my keeper to national duties.

arap Kiplagat showed his fighting qualities with a well made 97 coming in at No.5. His best work coming after we fell to 8/121 in the 28th over and farming the strike to form an 84 run 9th wicket stand with Fairfax.

The bowling effort was consistent and while a couple of partnerships threatened to take the game away from us, it was getting those key wickets at good times that helped instigate a late order collapse and a 16 run win.

Astwood conceding 36 extras of which 15 resulted in extra balls being bowled was a large factor in the overall result.

Promotion to SOD 1.1 confirmed. Not bad considering we were the lowest rated team at the beginning of the season.
I'd like to thank DZ for believing in me when he said four seasons ago; "in four seasons your strategy will have failed and You'll have stagnated in division 3 for all formats and be losing money. It's not possible to make money on the TM anymore, in the past maybe but not now!"

four seasons later I'll be in division one YOD and SOD with a HG/bought at 16 team of mainly Sri Lankans, high academies and money in the bank. If only he was here to see it.
I'd Say "I think you were talking about Manchester United mate"

Can probably play for experience in OD 3.4 as at least three teams I can beat with my first team, so play them in those games and experience for the rest of them.
T20 will be where my first team get their experience.
Try and stay in 1.1 whilst adding good enough youthies for future seasons.

Yeah, I think I'm getting relegated in YOD 1.1. Ah well, hopefully I can bounce between 1.1 and 2.1/2 which will help for experience over the next few years.

Did exactly what I thought I would do. Hopefully will be able to stay in 2.1 or 2.2 for the Youthies next year although I'll only have one 19yr old.

Should stay up in T20 as despite a tough division and being out of the relegation places on NRR, I'm playing the bottom team who are rating about 100k below me so I'd be amazed if I went down.

Managed to somehow be 3rd going into the last OD game but will be happy when I finish 4th.

All in all a good season despite the expected relegation.

my first season with real competition is over now as well. Thank you all very much for your help and support to learn how this game works. I was able to win 6 Games and stay in the league, that looks like quite an success in my eyes. ;)

Even as i still see me as a very unfortunate player. ;) I lost one game 177 to 174, the next one in 19.5, the last two games i lost on 19,1 and 19,4! Both games with an opponents 6er in the last inning! come on!!! :D

I guess, consequent Training will avoid, that i will lose more games than this season the next turn, im surely (hopefully?) gettin better. So: New Season, here i come. Welcome to the cave.

Good finish in my OD league. Three teams tied on 48 points, I promoted due to a NRR difference on 0.07. The leaders going in to the final matches finished 3rd after I beat them.

I ended up promoting in T20 meaning I'll have both senior teams in Div 1 together for the 1st time. SOD league was a good finish to be in 3rd also after winning the last 2 games.
