Cricket Discussion - WC and Beyond

A place to discuss cricket, whether it be the golden duck you scored in 4th grade last weekend, or a discussion about international matches.

Innocent until proven guilty, and the fact that this "scandal" is really just people posting on social media doesn't say much for its reliability. But, we'll see. If true, it's more than a little idiotic.

Most definitely. It will most likely be investigated or at least looked into and then we will hear the outcome from that. At this stage it just looks suspicious, even with Finch right next to him, and it is an old trick by spinners to use some dirt to "dry the seam of the ball".

-------------------------------------------------

Amla also continues to show why R.Hendricks should have been taken to the World Cup instead of him.

I have not seen the link (as I value, believe or not, the integrity of my software - then what are u doing here, Jabatito?
But let me guess, was watching the match yesterday and one particular over, before Zampa was about to bowl, he is seen with the ball, brushing it, then he gets his right hand into the pocket for a couple of seconds, then onto the ball again, then once more to the pocket, then polishing the ball a bit more. Next footage is Finch chewing some gum. Is that the one?
Did not quite work by the looks of Aussie bowling yesterday...
Mind you, this is not the first time I witness moves from players that I consider strange and not only Australian ones. But as rightly said, perhaps some further details and analysis can bright light to an otherwise social media interest (90% of times biased)

Geesh, these Aussies just do not want to learn!

You need to see the videos before hitting out at aussies. If using hand warmers is tampering then let us ban all 10 teams and end this WC here.

Yeah, go read what Jabatito wrote from his personal experience of WATCH IT before trying to claim your beloved Aussie is innocent.

Beware Chepu, the rain might just do that for all of us this week
By the way, don't we all miss Pujara's batting? Ohhh......first the IPL suplice and now the ODIs. Okay, we will hang in mainly because it is a WC but when is next Test being played?
EDIT: not that bad if it awards first point in tournament now that I think about it :whistle

By viewing the weather forecast in the coming days, I believe that Player of the Tournament is going to be Mr. Duckworth and Lewis
Ironic that this has not happened in previous WCs staged in England according to Cricinfo because sunny spells followed by drizzle and / or heavy showers can be the standard across the island during summer months

"This is the fifth World Cup being staged in England, and incredibly this one has already witnessed two abandonments (cancellations without toss), the most-ever in a single edition" Only two matches abandoned as a maximum during any of previous WCs in England, wow, now that is a surprise

England just showed that the Windies is not as strong as people thought they were.

I am sure that if the India-New Zealand match from yesterday did not wash out that India would have done the same with New Zealand.

Like the warm up game where NZ rolled through India easily...

India was taking a break after the IPL, we know this, plus, it was likely also a bit of deception to get teams to misjudge them.

The world cup keeps getting more and more boring every time. This time, even the round robin is pretty dull with only four teams clearly in competition. South Africa gave hopes in the beginning, but this time, even they are doing pretty bad. West Indies then showed some intention but only against Pakistan :whip

Hoping to see more competition in the coming weeks
