If a player is put in training a certain skill towards the end of training cycle it’s taken as training that skill for the whole cycle? Yes /no ?
If a academy is changed during that cycle does this do the same? I.e training at the new level for the whole week or only for that portion at the new level?

You receive the full trng for whatever trng the player is on at the trng update

You also receive trng for whatever the academy level was at the financial update

Yeah when you fiddle with training you're not changing what he's doing on that day. You have to imagine that once a week you set the weekly training plan (at academy updates) and that's what your assistants run off and coach for you. You don't get to go back in and change that.

(except you're doing it retrospectively, if that makes it any less confusing lol).

Does experience have sub-categories ?

In other words, when a bowler or batsman is set N, D or A, does it influence how they are developed ?

Two questions, firstly how large of an impact does form have? It always seems to have a massive impact on skill summaries but I'm not sure whether I should be taking it into account much in selection or not? It must have some impact on the game or why have it? Any indication of where/how much it impacts?

Secondly any idea on the considerations on fielding checks especially catches? What makes a catch harder than another. Is it all random based on a fielder's skill/ catch "difficulty" or does it have other components say fatigue, crowd size, weather, division game is played in, quality of opposition batsman, form etc. ?

Any info on either of these would be awesome

Form certainly does not appear to have a huge effect on performance so I largely ignore it

Fielding/catching is larely down to the fielder and the quality of the players in the match
The better the players ae excluding their fielding the higher level of fielding you need to succeed

Thanks Crowfan :D

I wondered how in more important games, against tough opposition catches seem to stick less.

Is the decision by bot teams to bat or bowl first after winning the toss random ?

Yes but I seem to remember a conversation about them choosing bat first to be slightly more likely

I looked at the past matches from my opponent today and they were bat first choices, and with them winning the toss I though it would be a short match, only to see them deciding to bowl instead.
