What was the lie..?
Sam Cobb. IGMed Cynic the night before asking and received a not touring response.

Sunday morning arises, Cobb touring, and 11 NATs away. :doh

Sorry about that. Cynic set and initial squad and I (as per usual) edited it. Didn't realise there'd been a no-tour request... :doh

I'm just going to stick this here because he did play for the national team if only for a fairly short time. I'm due to retire/fire a Ruff Royals veteran soon but I'm not sure I've seen too many 33-old-players (admittedly I don't tend to look) who still have his level of endurance. Is this rare or not that unusual? I don't think I've trained it for ages and I don't remember it ever being visibly higher than it is now. I'm not even entirely convinced that it's dropped and I've had to train it back to world class.

Jacob Wright
33 years | 58,776 rating | $14,621 wage (10% discount)
Right hand batsman | Right arm Fast
Talents Boundary Hitter
Nationality USA USA
Form reasonable
Fatigue rested
Experience legendary
Captaincy poor
Skills Summary
Batsman reasonable
Bowler spectacular
Keeper poor
Allrounder capable
Skills
Batting poor Endurance world class
Bowling outstanding Technique spectacular
Keeping poor Power outstanding
Fielding accomplished

Anyway, he's had a good career with me although I am slightly disappointed his SOD bowling average is above 20; my main fastie has normally finished with an average under 20.

My 33 year old has dropped down to capable, and my 34 year old (will likely retire at eos!) has gone down to average.

I'm impressed that guy has held onto WC endurance all this time. My experience is it could suddenly plummet after a couple of bad weeks though :ninja

As helenrj67 mentioned in an election speech, spetex has gone inactive for a while so I've messaged admin with the links to several players who meet the requirements to be listed if spetex doesn't log in. I'm not sure whether they'll all be suitable for nationals eventually (in some cases I hope not or we're in trouble!) and I've done it for spetex's U19s players too (although without a clear idea of what the players skills are like).

There are some other managers who are inactive too and I intend to get around to messaging the admin about those too. Some have proper membership though so there's a chance they'll log in in time.
