Initial U19 squad has been selected for this season. I say initial, as the depth is not amazing, however there is an ok core groups who will likely play the majority of games depending on pitch choices, so the fringe players may get swapped around as the season rolls on.

Well done to the Seniors last week who put in almighty effort to remain in the top Division.

Hopefully we can repeat those efforts and put a strong showing in this week.

We’ve gone in with a spin heavy bowling attack given the pitch choices, let’s hope for some windy conditions (and not humid)

Game 1 of the YOD tour kicks off in a couple of hours and we are up against the Scotts.

The start of this tour week didn’t begin as we’d hoped, 2 losses from 2 games and being the lowest rated team in the Division, it was shaping up to be a long week, and loooong season.

Fortunately, Stellerman applied his magic touch to game 3 and the week really turned around. 3 wins on trot against Bermuda, the Dutch and an upset win against England (which I’m really pleased about as I couldn’t never beat them in the Senior format) saw us finish in third place in Div 2 - which is a great result.

Best on tour for us;

Name Team Mat Inns No Runs HS Ave
Charles Atwoli Kenya U19 3 3 1 168 82 84.00
Peter Hassan Kenya U19 4 4 0 144 67 36.00
Chenzira KipkorirKenya U19 4 4 1 140 51 46.67

Simon wa Irungu - 10 wickets
Amin Obanda - 6 wickets
Cheikh arap Lang'at - 6 wickets

Well done to the team, looking forward to the T20 tour.
