Didn’t expect this at all going in ...with just one decent spinner and two dry, one crumbling and two slow pitches ...fortunately weather stayed overcast throughout and helped us compete with our seamers.

A few stellar performers ...more details later.

Ok ...here are the standout performers of the tour. Or course, there were many other key performances but overall these guys stood out:

Robert Covington - 4 games, 13 wickets + some batting as well
Jamie MacGreevy - 4 games, 9 wickets
Craig Stewart - 14 catches as keeper, 2x the next guy on the list, 102 runs @ 52 avg, 98 SR
Ethan Egan - 4 games, 181 runs @ 46 avg, one century

Special mention for Seamus Quinn - 18yo, top scored in crucial win over India to go top of the table.

An okish T20 tour ...we managed to stay in Div 2 courtesy three wins. A win in the last game would’ve sealed promotion to Div 1 but Bermuda was too strong for us. Essentially, we ended up losing to the two strongest teams in the group and beat the others despite being outrated - so, can’t complain much.

Had a horrible OD tour ...though in the end we missed staying up in D2 just by a few NRR points. Absence of enough spinners to pick from really handicapped us this time around. Hope to turn it around and get back up next season.

One win and one loss so far in the WC. Not very hopeful given pitches and relative match ratings in our group ...but let’s give it everything and see how it goes.

Must win game today against SA.

Need to win with a handsome margin and hope one of the other two games ends in a tie or the Netherlands vs NZ game ends in a very close win for either (preferably Netherlands).

Too much to ask for on an unhelpful pitch? :D let’s see...

Well SA was too strong for us, so that ends our WC campaign (2-3 record) and a tough, tough season.

Hopefully, we improve meaningfully on this next season and beyond.
