We come into this tour as the number 2 ranked U20 OD side. Would be another goal achieved if we could bump that up to number 1 by the end of the week.

We are a little light in some areas, but we definitely have enough to give it a decent crack.

Going to say the boss may have jinxed us.

Match Details

Batting - Top Order 9,863 10,525
Batting - Middle Order 8,277 8,869
Batting - Tail 4,548 5,019

Toss: UAE U20 won the toss and elected to bat.
Man of the match: Chandradasa Kumarihami (3 points), Akila Cabraal (2), Arjuna Kumara (1)

Runs from Mu'izz and Dhakir saw us post 236 in Slow and Sunny Conditions.

Sri Lanka collapsed to 2/6 in the third over but were able to consolidate and large partnerships saw them steer home the chase with overs to spare.

We now move our eyes to our next match where we take on England who will also be looking to bounce back following an upset loss to the West Indies. Tune in at 1000.

We snag a win against England to keep our week alive. Bowlers felt like they were actively trying to lose the game.

Not a good week for the bowlers. The fielding didn't help either.

It has been a long and enjoyable ride in Div 1. Hopefully we can come back stronger in a few weeks.

Some of the UAE faithful had walked out the gate after our bowlers had given up 255 runs on a Cloudy day with a green top to bowl on, but our bats won’t going down without a fight. An 136 opening partnership, supported with some other top order performances but man of the week Mui’zz an unbeaten centurion for the second time this week.

The win and other results around the grounds mean there are 3 teams on two wins (us, Sri Lanka who we play tomorrow and New Zealand). All three other teams sit on one win. This is going to be a close run race this week and two more wins are needed to secure the ticket back to the big leagues. 🇦🇪

The bats stutter over the line after a dominant bowling display.

Maths is easy for day 5, win = win the tour. Let’s get it done.
