For those following the senior team we are into division 1 for SOD for the first time since season 32 after an up and down week last week in our first tour. Managed to finish the week strongly with two late wins to jag promotion!

Some of the best performers for the week were: Oswald Bloomfield, Ronald Conway, Meera Reed, Finnigan Maxwell and Chooka Dynon.

All of our bowlers were solid and some key performances from Reed and Dynon got us over the line.

As always thanks to my assistants for all their hard work leading up to and during the week!

For anyone following the Senior Team we just completed our first Division 1 tour in a long time, finishing second only only NRR to Sri Lanka.

A pretty awesome effort considering we were lingering at the bottom of division 3 not to long ago and another huge step towards our long term goal of qualifying for the next One Day World Cup.

Some great performances throughout the week led by some fantastic bowling performances, in particular from: Ramon Gilby (Eternal), Lenny Bidiscombe (Deep Points) and Darryle Chegwyn (Handford CC).

Some stand out batting performances got us across the line with: Daenerys Targaryen (Allstars!), Meera Reed (Badsey CC) and Grahame Hair (Hot Shots) all contributing throughout the week. Hair with 100 runs in 2 innings and both unbeaten I his first tour.

Thanks to my assistants for their contribution throughout the week and all our managers that support the National team.

A strong week this week has seen us qualify for the Twenty20 World Cup Semi Finals, hopefully we can jag another couple of wins this week and take home some silverware!

Finished the last tour of the season in 3rd place in SOD 1 after a tough week, however our long term goal when we were initially elected was to qualify for the one day World Cup which the Aussie’s hadn’t participated in for quite some time.

We have done this!

Thanks to all the supportive managers for letting us borrow your players at key times throughout the season.

A huge thanks to my management team - thanks for all your hard work over the last few seasons to get us here, huge call out to birdmandipper who has recently taken over the UAE role when they needed it - appreciate all you did for the team to get us here mate!
