For the record, I think my match for this week (YOD 1: Pembina Norseman (JarlOlaf) vs Rajpoot Gladiators (Ranamuaz)) should be counted as a win for us (Perth) as the opponent "failed to field a team" for the match.

He did not have a free slot since the friendly league he is in, he joined that weeks before the BBL started.

Being that is a fault just like if one didn’t set their lineup and lost, this manager didn't even "field a team". It truly doesn't matter to me I guess, but this could become a sticking point if the "draw" ( ) would matter in points or whatever. With this standard, one could just arrange friendlies across the board if one was heading into a match they knew they were going to lose to force a draw.

You bring up a good point.

If he had just arranged a friendly match we would have asked him to cancel, and failure to cancel and arrange the BBL game would give his opponent the win.
However in this case he decided to join a friendly league competition in-game which started one month ago.

Given that this is a very short competition so all results might matter, what we can do is let the current result stand and take another look at this if it turns out that points are tied since the number of wins would be the tie-breaker.

We will also replace this team with my affiliate (Aqrabiyah Antlers) for the rest of the competition, and if you and your captain prefer we can schedule a game between us to make up for round 1.

Well done to both Adelaide and Sydney for making the final, it was a well-fought fixture and while commiserations go to Adelaide after a strong and unbeaten group stage performance, congratulations to Sydney for winning the final and getting their revenge over Adelaide for the group stage loss.
