Bat first :thumbsup
Bat big :thumbsdown
Win :(
60 runs to Hatim Awad meant we were able to scrap out 150 after winning the toss and batting first.
150 never felt like nearly enough and England buoyed by some shonky fielding of ours made the chase look easy.

We move onto Goliath tomorrow.

No luck. Beaten comprehensively by the Aussies yesterday and lost to New Zealand by a wicket today.

Need a win and result to go our way tomorrow to avoid the drop.

We hold onto our spot in Div 1 by the finest of margins.

69 unbeaten from Hatim Awad was enough to get us over the line (just) against the Dutch who set us 211 to win. We got there with 2 balls to spare.

Omar also helped out with 54 and Slaeem contribtued with 3 wickets.

The week wrapped up:

Australia win the tour unbeaten and unchallenged.
Sri Lanka and England finished 2nd and 3rd with 3 wins each.
We then snuck into 4th with our NRR better than New Zealand's (both had 2 wins).
The Dutch holding the ladder up with a luckless and winless week.

Nasir Hussain lead the way with the bat for us with his 153 runs from 4 innings.
Hatim Awad also contributing 148 runs from 3 innings (averaged 74 thanks to today's unbeaten knock).

Wareham in their last tour lead the way with the ball, taking 7 wickets in 3 matches.

Essa lead the way in the field with 3 catches and a runout.

Following this tour we say goodbye, good luck and thank you to the following players:
Aden Khaleel - Ashburn CC (3 Nat U20 ODs and 2 U20 T20s) - 61 ODI runs at 30.50.
Salman Iqbal - Strand Honde (6 Nat U20 ODs) - 84 runs at 14.00.
Abu Khaleel - PKF Tigers (2 Nat U20 ODs and 3 U20 T20s) - 51 runs at 28.00.
Yaman Musa - Scott's Tots (2 Nat U20 ODs ) - 1 Field Catch
Shafiq Qassem - PKF Tigers 2nd XI (4 Nat U20 ODs) - 121 runs at 30.25.
Jumah Haddad - PKF Tigers 2nd XI (4 Nat U20 ODs and 3 U20 T20s) - 77 runs in T20 at 38.50.
Tahir Shakur - PKF Tigers (3 Nat U20 ODs) - 3 wickets.
Georgia Wareham - waityesno_sorrymate (8 Nat U20 ODs and 2 U20 T20s) - 13 OD wickets

Attention now goes to the T20 World Cup in a few weeks time.

Not a good start, loss to Pakistan.

We look to bounce back against Bermuda.

A strong 7 wicket win against Bermuda keeps us alive for the week.

Oh yeah, all we have to do is slay goliath and then probably stay perfect for the remaining group matches. EASY!

A 53 to Shafiq Kareem saw the chase after Salman stunned with the ball taking 3/16 from his 4 overs.

The draw between Aus and WI on day 1 does make group survival interesting. 3 wins from the 3 remaining matches would see us finish with 2 more points than the Aussies (even if they win their remaining 2 matches). It would truly be a feat, but we will live in hope!

Pushed the Aussies to the last ball but alas not to be. Needed everything to go right for us and didn’t quite get it.

We look to finish the week off with 2 wins and the rest will be what it’ll be.

Truly disappointed in the week but lets look at the positives.

8 of the 11 we played yesterday will be available in the first tour next season. In fact 10 of the touring 18 will be available and our two leading run scorers Omar and Malik are young enough they'll make the next World Cup!

We pushed the Australian Goliaths right to the last ball, no small feat!

A 50 to Shafiq Kareem against Bermuda!

3/16 Hauls for Badri Salman (against Bermuda) and Sheikh (against the West Indies)!

3 field catches and a runout (tournament leader for fielding) for Mukhtar in just 2 matches!

Congratulations to Pakistan and Australia for winning out of our Group. They take on India and England in their respective Semis.

Thanks to all managers for pulling UAE players and your support!

:party

That’s how we like to start a tour!

14k outrated against the big boys, doesn’t matter.

79 runs to Omar and 3 wickets each from Sheikh, Hassan and Aziz sees us to a big win!

That’s a great start and we will look to roll on! Next up England! Tune in at 1000.

Pinch me I’m dreaming.

Another win and we’re off to a flyer!

We went into Monday expecting to start the week with 0/2 wins, wanting to win at least 1/2 and hoping for a miracle to win 2/2.

Let’s hope we’ve not used all our luck for the week!

Catches win matches I guess it’s true.

Wow no idea what happened there.

Congrats to Bermuda πŸ‡§πŸ‡²

We still have a shot at the title with a win tonight.

Have already ensured we avoid relegation which is nice!
