EOS 44 - Youth Recruit Changes

Post by MD-Summit » Fri Jun 12, 2020 2:58 am

New Youth Recruit Format

As of Season 45, weekly youth recruits will be selected from random countries.

The ability to select a country to recruit youth players from will become a financial members only feature.

The ability to select a different type of player will not change e.g Batsman, Bowler etc

This change is being implemented to install a greater amount of equalisation to the national scenes for seasons to come and to narrow the gap in class & quality.

Currently, out of 1701 teams 50.03% of 16 year old players are selected from the top 5 nations with the others falling behind in player numbers, consistently!

The biggest indicator of this is Australia, England and India who last week alone had 638 youth players recruited compared to Kenya and the USA who had 40 & 43 respectively.

This change will create a more level playing field with non member managers making up 66.50% of the player base and 53.4% of the team base, therefore, giving the lesser nations a better chance of having potentially up to 35 more recruits per week.

With these changes we anticipate 240 players being removed from the player pool of the top 3 teams, per week.

Using simple math, that will equate to 3600 players per season being removed from Australia, England & India.

These numbers will have constant uncontrollable variables that can and will occur and due to this, they will not be perfect numbers.

However, all countries will receive a 5.56% chance of having their country recruited from by non members, regardless of the country the team is based in.

As stated, this change will come into effect at the S44 EOS update.
