Womens Teams

With the increase in popularity in Womens cricket in the world I think it is about time FTP introduced a womens team (maybe just seniors 50 over)
Games could be played on a wednesday so leaving just the weekend for friendly and cup games

I don't agree with taking away another friendly slot when there are so few during the week (by now I don't remember which of Wednesday or Saturday is members only). But then I don't know who needs the extra game during their PC runs for test runs and so on so I'll keep to myself after this.

I bought up this idea a few months back and it got unceremoniously shot down.... can’t see it changing.....

If they have to be included I guess they could be the pre match entertainment for the youth t20 match each week.
Seriously, I think we have enough weekly games and squads to manage and keep this as a game to occupy our spare time and still enjoy it.

What functionally would make a women's team different that you can't do with an(other, wink wink) affiliate?

Maybe when you make a youth pull you can choose whether you want a male, female or completely random name?
