I know we reward players performances with an increase in form but should they also receive a long term benefit through gained experience as well?
I think in game milestones (those used for fantasy points) could be used in a way to distribute a very small amount of extra experience to players based on their input.

You could reduce the base experience per game to allow the increase through milestones.
