Supporter mood at the end of the season

Hi, a small bugbear.
As I come to the end of a moderate yet dreadfully unentertaining EFL season and an unexpectedly successful FTP one I have had cause to think about supporter mood.
The season ends either well, badly or somewhere in between but there's no final impact. No clamour for season tickets because of promotion, no drift away because of the lack of entertainment. It seems odd to me the next update is "jovial" , however the season went. My proposal is one more end of season update.
I was also trying to translate my experience as a football fan and I believe the initial supporter mood should be "hopeful" rather than"jovial";, to reflect the default 'maybe this season 'attitude.
I am ensure about the rest but it might be that as the season progresses fans descend through some form of the grief cycle as their level of belief falls; I think I am still in denial about the football team I follow.
I don't know what the opposite of the grief cycle is that supporters of winning teams ascend through. I guess it's just increasing belief that "yes indeed it might just be this season we get promoted".
