E. Calder (rfm) 6.3-0-22-3, F. Pelly 6 (17b)
End of over 43 (maiden) - It's only sandpaper (132-10) RR 3.07

Very happy with keeping our opponents down to that total, now for the chase.

M. Hartley (rm) 8-0-40-2, S. Hodges 1 (1b), A. Diaz 0 (0b)
End of over 45 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(196-8) RR 4.36

Really I think we need about 250+ but realistically if we can get to 210+ then it's better than where I thought we'd be after the start we had. Losing 4 quick wickets has pushed our possible total back considerably. Liberatore out for a very handy 69 with a smattering of accumualtor triggers and Paton out for 68.

End of over 48 (maiden) - Ruff Royals(208-10) RR 4.33

Just short of 210 and that's unlikely to be enough, especially without my main bowler and with 2 spinners playing.

I think we have this in the bag.

A. Diaz (rfm) 9-0-34-1, J. Bugge 61 (64b), A. Bettington 11 (14b)
End of over 37 (2 runs) - Relegation reprobates(171-3). 38 runs required from 13 overs. RR 4.62 RRR 2.92

We needed Diaz to take 4 or 5 wickets and, although he's been a steady bowler for us, he's nowhere near to doing that barring an amazing final over.

Saw ahead of the match you'd got loads of lads away, not really a fair loss but I'll take our first senior win against you all the same.

Look forward to hosting you back and a much tougher prospect.

Well played all the same. You can only beat what's in front of you and there's no guarantee that we'd have done any better with a full team. For instance, Liberatore wouldn't have played today and he scored 69. McCutchin was the big miss for us today but even he would have struggled to defend that total.

On the plus side, we're still top (can't remember if we were 2nd before or not) as Lower Standards had a big loss.

D. Ylyett (rm) 2-0-16-1, T. Geeves 3 (6b), L. Mosbey 0 (0b)
End of over 3 (10 runs) - Sledgingshire(20-2). 156 runs required from 17 overs. RR 6.67 RRR 9.18
2.6 W Ylyett to Waygood : [runout] Oh here's trouble. Waygood plays that gently out to mid wicket and sets off to run. A loud NO from Geeves is largely ignored until it's too late. Bonnor has time to run in and take off the bails leaving Waygood stranded.B. Waygood run out (D. Bonnor) 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
2.5 W Ylyett to Brindley : [catch] Got him! Ylyett with some sublime bowling as he uses his advantage coming across the batsman to draw the edge and Holland takes a good catch at slip.B. Brindley c S. Holland b. D. Ylyett 16 (11b 2x4 0x6) SR:145.45

Two very handy wickets.

Slow pitch. We let them get to 142 which isn't going to be an easy chase.

T. van der Laan (rm) 4-0-37-1, I. Santos 39 (34b), R. Norris 4 (1b)
End of over 12 (11 runs) - Ruff Royals(100-3). 43 runs required from 8 overs. RR 8.33 RRR 5.38

Chase is going ok although we're in danger of running out of wickets. Santos looks like the key; I think if he stays in we win but if not I don't really have confidence that the other batters will be able to see us over the line.
