J. Chaudhry (rfm) 4-1-7-0, D. Katich 13 (24b), T. Hopper 0 (3b)
End of over 23 (1 run) - wolfberries(106-5) RR 4.61

Should be looking at 250 minimum in these conditions but going to struggle to even make 200 from here!

Managed to make the 200 mark, although still at least 40 runs short.

End of over 40 (5 runs) - Staindrop Village CC(130-7) RR 3.25

We've done alright but it's going to be a difficult chase in these conditions.

End of over 20 (2 runs) - bigsexybarry(90-2). 119 runs required from 20 overs. RR 4.50 RRR 5.95

Well we are keeping the RR down but will need wickets to win the game methinks.

Ruff Royals won by 6 wickets.

Ruff Royals Staindrop Village CC
Batting - Top Order 7,932 7,342
Batting - Middle Order 6,009 6,486
Batting - Tail 3,215 4,722
Bowling - Seam 6,454 (24) 7,379 (24)
Bowling - Spin 9,270 (16) 8,424 (16)
Fielding/Keeping 8,912 8,475
Overall 130,051 133,893

A surprisingly comfortable win although it nevers feels comfortable when the game is going on.

It was a decent team bowling performance with no bowler going for more than 4 an over. Whitehead played a captain's innings with 48 and Clarke ended 30 not out. 17-year-old Mills also contributed with 21 not out and repaid my faith in him after I decided to give 19-year-old Evans his place. That's largely due to Evans not really performing and also never likely to have a chance of making it into my senior team.

I think that makes us 12 points clear of the relegation zone so I should now be getting the less experienced players some gametime.

bigsexybarry wolfberries
Batting - Top Order 7,747 6,289
Batting - Middle Order 6,424 5,778
Batting - Tail 5,038 3,807
Bowling - Seam 7,283 (24) 6,771 (40)
Bowling - Spin 7,187 (16) 0 (0)
Fielding/Keeping 5,376 8,460
Overall 124,156 118,929

Result: bigsexybarry won by 2 wickets

A late comeback didn't quite get us over the line, dropping Joyce who went on to make an unbeaten 51 really cost us!

We decided to bat first.

End of over 6 (7 runs) - Ruff Royals(26-0) RR 4.33

Early in the game but I already have regrets. I picked the team yesterday but afterwards I decided that I could pick an even weaker team. However, I forgot to do that this morning so I've missed out on giving some youth players experience.

We should win this easily as they rated about 120k this time last week.

Not the worst start from our batsmen.

Will take that at the halfway mark of our innings.

End of over 35 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(226-1) RR 6.46

Solomon is the player who I wasn't going to play although maybe he'll get into a bit of form here. Avila just about managed to get his 100 and then was out next ball. As you can see, Liberatore has also got a ton.

Fingers crossed we can defend this, not got our best spinner playing today due to fatigue.

2.2 6 Peden to Waye : That's gone like a tracer bullet over the fence at extra cover.
2.1.Peden to Waye : Perfect line and length.
E. Calder (rfm) 1-0-8-0, M. Waye 1 (4b), T. Browning 12 (8b)
End of over 2 (8 runs) - All Action Rejects(13-0). 267 runs required from 48 overs. RR 6.50 RRR 5.56
1.6 6 Calder to Browning : Rumors are that Browning likes to watch a highlight reel of his best 6's before he goes to sleep. Well now he has another one to add with a massive drive that travels straight back over the bowlers head for the maximum.

Well they are certainly going for it!
