We were put in to bat first and lost 2 wickets in the first over. We recovered quite nicely and we should have something decent to defend. My batsmen are probably better than my bowlers though so we'll have to see if they're any good at defending a total.

A great last over puts us back in with a decent chance. My main worry is that this hasn't really played like a slow pitch at all.

Star of the batting was Kirk with 67 from 44 balls; he really seems to be enjoying the last 3 or 4 seasons of his career.

We decided to bowl first but we haven't got any wickets which is not good.

The Chumps CC won by 4 runs.

They rated higher than us but I can't help but feel like we threw that one away.

First they were 98-7 and ended up 159-9. Then we were 142-5 and ended up all out for 155 when we needed less than 3 an over. Those last 5 wickets that fell started with a run out too.
