Ruff Royals won by 54 runs

YorkshireTykes Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 13,449 14,048
Batting - Middle Order 11,021 12,278
Batting - Tail 5,725 4,088

Bowling - Spin 14,004 (10) 14,251 (10)
Fielding/Keeping 15,354 17,654
Overall 226,843 241,686

Not as big a win as we needed. A brilliant 93 from Bullock got us to an okay total of 219 on an uneven pitch. Rush took 4-48 whilst Westerveld took an economical 3-15.

I can't see us catching up on the net run rate now.

won the toss and had a bat on Flat/Humid. Wasn't particularly impressed with our batting effort, 274/8 seemed quite a bit under-par. However seems it was more than enough as we bundled the oppo out for 189, Blinkhorn the standout bowler with 5-38.

The win guarantees survival and ends our long run of either promoting or relegating every season! Good opportunity to give some of the youngsters some game time in the last couple of games.

R. Reynolds (rfm) 4-0-44-0, F. Moore 1 (1b), E. Shepherd 66 (51b)
End of over 20 (18 runs) - Relegation reprobates(130-9) RR 6.50

Not too bad on an uneven pitch but it would have been much better if the last over hadn't been smacked for 18 runs.

F. Moore (lf) 2-0-16-0, H. Mitchell 14 (11b), L. Vinson 9 (7b)
End of over 3 (7 runs) - Ruff Royals(23-0). 108 runs required from 17 overs. RR 7.67 RRR 6.35

An okay start but the run rate required isn't easy.

Ruff Royals won by 7 wickets

Ruff Royals Relegation reprobates
Batting - Top Order 6,864 8,218
Batting - Middle Order 6,725 6,323
Batting - Tail 3,852 3,731

Bowling - Spin 10,702 (4) 7,945 (8)
Fielding/Keeping 9,748 8,034
Overall 133,813 129,265

I'm happy with the win but it doesn't do much for the net run rate.

Five wickets for Fattah was excellent for a spinner on an uneven pitch; the hot weather must have helped alot but he is easily my best bowler too. Mitchell got us off to a good start with the bat with 47 from 33 balls and Marwat finished things off nicely with 35 not out from 21 balls.

Ffoh won so the title is going down to the last week and quite possibly net run rate.

J. Westerveld (rfs) 4-0-22-2, P. Majaivana 21 (15b), V. Kennedy 0 (1b)
End of over 20 (6 runs) - The Dross(127-8) RR 6.35

At several points, I thought we were going to be chasing more than 127 and maybe even 140+. The key was starting to pick up some wickets so we were able to restrict them. Patterson's 2-19 and Westerveld's 2-22 was very useful.

A. Melton (rws) 1-0-4-2, C. Dickerson 0 (0b), W. Mills 36 (30b)
End of over 10 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(78-4). 50 runs required from 10 overs. RR 7.80 RRR 5.00

We were going very well with the bat but we've just lost 3 wickets in an over and are down to our last two recognised batters.

Bowling - Spin 13,917 (8) 13,345 (12)
Fielding/Keeping 17,627 16,183
Overall 246,636 241,770

A very important win and doing it with 3 and a half overs to spare isn't bad. We struggled a bit with the bat but Mills stepped up with a fantastic 71 not out from 54 balls.

There are three teams level on points at the top. Net run rate could play a part still but it's first versus second place that looks like it's going to decide things which is Pedagogs versus Ruff Royals. What an end to the season it's going to be!

Not the most convincing win, with medium pacer Drake going for 10 an over, however it means we are FINALLY back in Division 2, if only for the T20s.

Eased to victory against top but we are still four points behind them with a NRR deficit that we won't be chasing, at least second spot is most likely safe.

There is a good chance of relegation next week, with those ratings we shouldn't be dropping to division three!
We played a dangerous game of trying to give our young senior prospects experience, but it back fired and when we decided to pick stronger sides we kept losing!

End of over 20 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(136-3) RR 6.80

It was going great on a flat pitch but losing 2 wickets in the last 2 overs is sure to slow us down, especially as we don't have a massive amount of batting depth.

A decent total on a flat pitch but there's been some big totals. I think the highest that bigsexybarry has chased is 278 and they failed to chase 306. This is somewhere between those so will it be enough?

Mitchell, who scored 61, and Marwat 89 not out were the best of our batters. Now it's time for the bowlers to keep it as tight as possible and pick up wickets.

It's not looking brilliant. Two fairly recent wickets have given us hope but we're going to need our bowlers to really step up now.

Survival secured; we'll remain in the top league next season. :dance

The bowling was tough and it was looking dicey at times. Pithey was the best bowler with 2-42. Niazi ended with figures of 1-54 but it was possibly the most crucial wicket as he got out the dangerous looking Rathod for 53 just before the break.

The Raging Speed Horns vs Inchigeela Angels
League Youth 2.1

Weather Sunny
Pitch Sticky

Inchigeela Angels won by 6 wickets

Another indifferent performance from my mediocre youth outfit drops us out of the money slots. We'll lose three more players before the end of next season, but the core talent is coming up to maintain our tier 2 spot. I imagine it'll be another couple of seasons before we're challenging for promotion.

The tale of the tape -

A brilliant 145no from 122 balls by opener Bambury enabled us to build a total that was always going to be tough to chase in the conditions, and so it proved.

Although we won't be getting any prizemoney at least today's win has ensured survival. Not sure we should be in division4 with those ratings.
