S. Clouston (rf) 7-0-34-0, P. arap Rono 14 (24b), J. Suji 66 (82b)
End of over 25 (6 runs) - Leyland Lions(111-2) RR 4.44

We're in big trouble here on a crumbling pitch. We've only dropped about 3 chances so far; one to an average fielder, one to a reliable fielder, and one to a expert keeper with capable fielding.

M. Roberson (lf) 8-1-39-2, K. Binchy 0 (1b), P. arap Rono 38 (52b)
End of over 35 (5 runs) - Leyland Lions(163-3) RR 4.66

We finally get Suji out! arap Rono has been dropped again and it was a capable fielder this time. I would have liked to have got them out for less than 150 so we're going to struggle again to chase these runs.

T. Vaughn (rm) 8-0-41-1, B. Mageto 2 (3b), J. Murubi 10 (9b)
End of over 40 (9 runs) - Leyland Lions(195-6) RR 4.88

The pitch has suddenly got treacherous just in time for our innings to start. We still managed to drop another chance (capable fielder).

S. Holland (rws) 4-0-30-2, P. Worthington 2 (3b), C. Hayden 14 (18b)
End of over 40 (3 runs) - Snakey's Kent Stars(212-8) RR 5.30

Well that's far too much for us to chase, 175 would have been our limited methinks.

S. Elwin (rfm) 3-0-19-0, E. McCall 12 (15b), I. Santos 17 (21b)
End of over 6 (9 runs) - Ruff Royals(30-0). 166 runs required from 34 overs. RR 5.00 RRR 4.88

Santos has just been dropped. Very even so far.

Snakey's Kent Stars wolfberries
Batting - Top Order 6,397 6,307
Batting - Middle Order 5,891 5,349
Batting - Tail 3,541 3,939
Bowling - Seam 6,235 (40) 6,765 (28)
Bowling - Spin 0 (0) 6,362 (12)
Fielding/Keeping 7,544 7,821
Overall 113,585 115,130

wolfberries won by 4 wickets

Well I wasn't expecting to chase that total but then again our no11 has ordinary batting summary, so not the worst lower order.

Ruff Royals Leyland Lions
Batting - Top Order 7,380 8,233
Batting - Middle Order 5,764 5,563
Batting - Tail 3,279 3,769
Bowling - Seam 6,293 (24) 6,296 (24)
Bowling - Spin 8,732 (16) 7,048 (16)
Fielding/Keeping 8,053 6,920
Overall 122,922 120,239

Leyland Lions won by 2 runs.

So we've played on a crumbling pitch in both games so far and the average innings total for both teams has been about 197. In those games, I've lost by a combined total of 10 runs.

Looks like it's going to be a tough season. Early days but I'm in the bottom 2 and perhaps I'll need to rethink my home pitch. I'm not really sure what the best pitch would be with 2 quality spinners, 1 quality fastie, a mediocre medium pacer and a young fastie.

End of over 11 (3 runs) - wolfberries(30-3) RR 2.73

Not great but certainly better than 4 for 2.

I was going to post when it was like this and say it wasn't too bad for a crumbling pitch. Bass had just got his first BH trigger.

J. Ghaffar (rfs) 5-1-17-1, P. Solomon 14 (20b), J. Bass 27 (46b)
End of over 15 (7 runs) - Ruff Royals(55-1) RR 3.67

But now it's like this:

E. Riley (rm) 5-0-13-2, C. Paton 0 (0b), A. Bowers 0 (1b)
End of over 17 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(61-4) RR 3.59

So we've basically lost in the space of 6 balls (3 wickets for 6 runs).

E. Riley (rm) 10-0-37-3, A. Bowers 32 (47b), A. McCutchin 13 (29b)
End of over 36 (7 runs) - Ruff Royals(131-6) RR 3.64

Despite being a bowler, McCutchin seems determined to keep the strike as much as possible.

Not looking good!

Only about 100 short of a total I could defend!
