Lost by 1 wicket in the final

That close to bringing the cup back to England after 40 seasons.

It was an incredible campaign, where we were outgunned but still managed some incredible victories even though the ratings weren’t in our favour.

Big thank you to Nori for being an awesome assistant during this campaign, and to all the managers who have provided us with quality players to take us so far.

Hopefully we can go one better next term!

Knocked out in the semi finals of the world cup by Australia.

Was a good tournament again. Lost the opener against UAE, then won 4 in a row.

Outrated Australia in the semis, but our spinners weren't quite good enough as Australia hit 250 odd on dry.

Overall it was a pretty successful term. We have had some very good players, led by Bertie Bee and Fredric Gibson with the bat. However only 1 player scored a century in the entire term - Desmond Dorey (119). Dorey has been one of the best keeper-bats in the game the last few seasons and will probably be the best England keeper for the next season.

Will Healy took over from Jared McPharlin to be the best spinner. Incredibly not one player took a 5-for in any game during this term. On one hand it showed the squad was very balanced, but also highlighted how we lacked elite bowlers.

In terms of the results - Despite starting back in division three, we solidified our spot in one day division 1, staying there for the last two one day series and going up to 5th in the rankings, which was an excellent result and should allow us to bank enough points again next term to qualify for the next one day world cup.

In the T20s we were not quite as strong, but still finished quite well. Again starting in division 3, we managed to hold into division 2 staying there for the last two series. It means we should qualify for next T20 world cup provided we can hold in division two at the start of next season.

Looking forward the biggest issue for us remains depth, especially being quite weak with our spin bowling (particularly left arm bowlers). On the flip side, the future batting and keeping options look decent. Damien Hillard is shaping to be an unbelievable player in future seasons.

Thanks again for providing such solid players and for all your support again!
