Through to round 5 for only the second time (and I think the first time was before they reduced the competition size). Got a chance of getting to round 6, although going to need to find a way of getting more out of the squad; performances are still not really reflecting ratings.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
A disappointing weekend as we got knocked out of the cup when we rated slightly higher and they successfully chased 200+ on a sticky pitch. That essentially means my senior season is over already.
Relegation reprobates Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 8,008 7,057
Batting - Middle Order 6,233 7,701
Batting - Tail 3,402 4,662
Bowling - Seam 7,654 (16) 7,227 (16)
Bowling - Spin 8,345 (4) 7,944 (4)
Fielding/Keeping 7,764 9,146
Overall 129,423 137,311
Relegation reprobates won by 14 runs
More disappointment today as we were expensive in the last few overs (19 off the penultimate over didn't help).
170 on a hard pitch wasn't out of the question but we batted too slowly especially in the first 4 overs and the last 7 overs.
It means we're 8 points behind top spot so the title is looking unlikely this season. Good ratings but we'll be losing 2 players to international duty next week.

It feels like we've lost the toss a lot this season. I just checked and we have won the toss in senior T20 once. We didn't bat well and were bowled out for 84. Then we didn't bowl well and they chased the total down with more than 8 overs left.

really struggling with fatigue at the moment so played a highly rotational side and it showed - result: Lost by 48 runs. Only real highlight was our youth bat Riakporhe hitting an unbeaten 31 - really need to get game time into him as he's a pretty decent prospect.

End of over 21 (2 runs) - Ruff Royals(113-1) RR 5.38
Green pitch. If I remember my orders correctly, one of these batters is on aggressive and one is on defensive.

End of over 40 (13 runs) - Ruff Royals(253-2) RR 6.33
The man on aggressive gets 96 not out whilst the defensive Durham was out for 56 from 50 balls. It's a shame Harrison didn't reach what would have been a second ton; a good effort nonetheless from the allrounder. Obuya also does nicely for his 65 not out.
I'm happy with the total.

There's a strong chance that Harrison might get man of the match.

Pithey took 3-23 so was the best of our bowlers. I'm happy with the ratings and happy with the performance on a green pitch; the switch for a slow pitch seems to have gone well.

Slow pitch. Not our worst batting performance ever but it'll not be enough to win. 66 from Bullock was very promising, especially as he'll probably get plenty of games between now and the end of the season.

It was a good effort by the bowlers in particular. We had them down to 108-7 and 147-8 but couldn't take those last couple of wickets before they got to 180 to win the game.
Patterson was much better with the ball this week with 4-37. Rush was a bit disappointing with just the 1-41.

lost the toss and put in to bat on overcast/dry, but would have batted anyway. Got off to a fantastic start with a 146 run opening partnership between Van Den Bergh and Whitworth, before a slight collapse to 190/5. Young Puncheon did well though, hitting an unbeaten 58 to bring us to a strong score of 245/5 in our 50. In reply opps seemed extremely well set at 164/3, but Doucoure came through with an excellent four wicket spell, and we managed to eek out a 37 run win.
A bit fortunate to be playing Danger Hotspurs this week as they had three players on nat duty, but we were without our best bat as well ... overall a great win for us, and the great start to the season continues! Next up a home game against Bedfordshire Jats who have lost their first five games, but will be far from an easy game such is the competitive nature of this division.
Fatigue a real issue now, can't see us playing a particularly strong side on Tuesday in the T20 league.
