With nothing really to play for in YT20 this season other than prize money, I decided to switch my pitch to even. I don't remember why I also decided to bat first but it seemed to work.

I didn't think 154 was going to be enough despite a fine 71 from Harrison. The bowling didn't get off to the best start but Pithey got 2 wickets in 2 balls to get us going. We then kept it much tighter and their run rate required increased which in turn led to them taking more risks and us getting more wickets.

6/14 from the normally disappointing Carson made the difference. Still only 1 win clear from the relegation area, but a win against the bottom side next week *should* finally confirm us as remaning in Div3 for next season.

Bathaloner won by 8 wickets

A bit disappointed considering the ratings. Our batting really slowed from the 14th over. We started quite well with the ball in terms of the run rate but we struggled to take wickets and from the 12th over it was well in Bathaloner's control.

That loss virtually ensures our relegation as we're 8 points behind with 2 games left and a massively inferior NRR.

We only just won after several dropped catches after we put them into bat first. Fattah took 4-24 as we restricted them to 168-9. Marwat top scored with 46 when we replied and we got the win with 3 balls to spare.

We're still 4 points behind top spot but NRR is still close and the top to have to play each other on the final game of the season.

Another abject batting performance, only making 161 on a slow wicket, and we drop down to fourth and in danger of missing out on prize money.

We beat the top of the table side which was nice. We batted first on a slow pitch; I'm not quite sure why I decided to do that but it worked so that was good. We scored 142 and Durham got 96 not out from 67 balls.

It was a good bowling performance as we bowled them out with 2 overs to spare. We're still in third place but we're only 4 points off top spot. It would be pretty miraculous to win the title from this position.

A pleasing win even if it's all going to be in vain. Schmidt saw us to a good total thanks to 43 not out from 27 balls. It was a good bowling performance with Patterson taking 3-26 and Mwai 2-17 in a rare appearance for him.

A huge win to help my NRR. It still won't be enough to win the title if Staindrop Lordies keep winning.

I moved Durham up to open and he responded with 121. Harrison also picked up 69 which was nice. Bennett was the pick of the bowlers with 3-16.

I can confirm that 7 wickets falling in 10 balls is not a nice way to lose a game especially when it could relegate us.
