away in Hot/Dry, lost the toss and having a bat (Would've batted anyway). Not the ideal conditions for us with only two spinners, hopefully our bats can put a decent total on the board!

tailed wagged and we got up to 175-10 but seems a long way below par, two runouts didn't help us :whistle . If either of the opps BH openers fire this game could be over very quickly.

League One Day 1.1
Date 26 Feb 21 10:00
Crowd 16,065

Pitch Slow

I'm expecting another defeat. I really must remember to check to see whether I've set it to bat or bowl as that's the second time this week that I've chosen to do the wrong thing. :doh

C. Moses (rws) 8.3-0-39-5, D. Chilvers 1 (3b)
End of over 43 (1 run) - Topmen(230-10) RR 5.35

A mixed bag of bowling from my side today. Diaz was expensive although he did pick up a couple of wickets and Hodges was expensive without picking up any. Moses took 5 which is now his personal best and Callaway was good as usual with 3-24.

A. Louw (lfm) 2-0-12-0, T. Liberatore 5 (8b), B. Issa 17 (16b)
End of over 4 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(22-0). 209 runs required from 46 overs. RR 5.50 RRR 4.54

Okay so far but I'm still expecting to lose.

Hopefully we can defend this.

I think that's the first half decent innings by Issa since I signed him. It looks like I'll keep him as an opener for a bit and see if he likes it there. I'm still expecting to lose.

It goes from 'I think we might actually have a chance' to 'we're obviously going to lose now' in the space of about an over.

absolute rubbish performance today lost by 3 wickets, but in reality it was far more comfortable than that for our opponents. seems really worth it to have a strong middle order batting, for 5-8 to score a combined 14 runs   between that and several weeks of terrible youth drafts having invest hundreds of thousands into the academy, feeling pretty fed up at the moment

at least my affiliate are doing okay in their debut OD game

Ruff Royals won by 6 wickets

Batting - Top Order 13,398 14,148

Fielding/Keeping 16,492 16,480
Overall 230,072 245,647

Well, that was unexpected; what a great return to division 1. :D

Some great performances with the bat although there were a couple of drops in there. Issa hit 75 runs in an opening stand of 122. Bowers got 48 not out from 47 balls and hit the winning runs.

We had no right to win that game especially after a mixed bowling effort. Topmen only lost twice in the league last season so to inflict a defeat on them, and, more importantly, pick up 4 points is brilliant for us.

Ruff Royals won by 6 wickets.

The Ashes CC Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 6,832 6,928
Batting - Middle Order 5,177 6,337
Batting - Tail 3,226 3,996
Bowling - Seam 6,042 (20) 6,756 (16)
Bowling - Spin 0 (0) 4,703 (4)
Fielding/Keeping 7,170 8,724
Overall 109,436 122,952

We bowled them out for 79 with Clouston taking a hattrick. The batting wasn't great, as we lost 4 wickets, but at least we didn't have much to chase.

I'm not confident of getting anything from this game and losing the toss and batting first hasn't helped.

Lost two early wickets so there's already a lot of pressure on Avila to get most of the runs for us to get us to a good total.
