chucked my T20 game in order to rest players for today in what's a crucial match in our relegation battle. opps won the toss and having a bat on uneven/sunny, so far they're struggling a bit, 87/7 from 26. Hopefully we can wrap up their innings fairly quickly and get a much needed win on the board!!

The non-homegrown player was a borderline member of the England 30 man squad and only cost 72k which seems a pretty good price now, especially as he's got 2 handy talents (Safe Hands and Gifted Bowling).
Paddy Massey?

Yes he is certainly a quality youth but unfortunately for him we have so many quality spinners, we currently have 1 x spectacular and 2 x outstanding summary spinners in the squad(One of the outstanding is my WS who didn't make the squad for the last tour) plus we have three all rounders who are also expert summary bowling!

If only he would have been around next season as our spinners look very bare!
Yeah, I thought you might have had a pretty good spin age group. It was worse last season when my wrist spinner didn't make the USA 30 man squad. You could argue that the 3 allrounders we had were better players but I would have thought he was probably our best after those but, sadly Moses didn't make it anyway.

A. Diaz (rfm) 6-0-33-3, T. Downes 8 (14b), B. Scali 21 (31b)
End of over 27 (6 runs) - The Warriors(136-4) RR 5.04

We've picked up some wickets with 3 for Diaz. RR is still high but if we can get 2 or 3 more soon then it will start to look really good for us.

G. Peterson (rfm) 7-0-42-0, T. Gardiner 60 (80b), E. McCosker 17 (28b)
End of over 34 (2 runs) - wolfberries(150-4) RR 4.41

Certainly starting to look at bit more like it.

A. McCutchin (rf) 10-0-31-3, J. Sleep 1 (2b), M. Maraziotis 12 (35b)
End of over 39 (1 run) - The Warriors(167-8) RR 4.28

McCutchin joined the party and I can't see it going any other way than a win for the Royals.

Annoying isn't it when a player misses out just because that season they have a lot of quality opposition for the spots, unless of course you're the International manager as well.

P. Callaway (rfs) 5.1-1-8-2, K. Lovett 0 (3b)
End of over 42 (maiden) - The Warriors(167-10) RR 3.98

Their innings ends with 15 dot balls in which they lost 2 wickets. They go from 161-5 to 167 all out. For some reason, I'm pretty confident that we're going to win this.

J. arap Ruto (rfm) 8-0-37-4, S. Payne 0 (0b), E. Peden 0 (2b)
End of over 46 (6 runs) - wolfberries(251-8) RR 5.46

Four wickets in sixteen balls really hasn't helped!

Although we should be able to defend this total, fingers crossed.

That's a good total so I make you favourite to win.

End of over 50 (6 runs) - wolfberries(273-8) RR 5.46

This is an even better total to defend, would be annoyed if we don't win from here.

You're going to walk this on a hard wicket.

For some reason, I thought the 251 was the final total! I think we're both set to win then as I can't see them chasing that.

I swapped my team around after Avila's recent poor performance and the desire to give some other players experience. So Avila and Paton were dropped (I've been happy enough with Paton but he's a weaker bat and doesn't particularly need experience) and Best and Liberatore came in to open the innings. I've no complaints with them so far.

M. Maraziotis (rm) 1-0-1-0, F. Best 26 (42b), T. Liberatore 17 (31b)
End of over 12 (1 run) - Ruff Royals(52-0). 116 runs required from 38 overs. RR 4.33 RRR 3.05

S. Payne (lfs) 4-1-10-0, E. Jones 21 (37b), L. Boyce 19 (48b)
End of over 18 (3 runs) - Hay Spitfires(61-2). 213 runs required from 32 overs. RR 3.39 RRR 6.66

At least the RRR is going up.
