E. Jordan (rfs) 8-0-27-5, C. Ingram 34 (29b), J. House 1 (1b)
End of over 40 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(181-7) RR 4.53
We started well but after a good opening partnership we struggled a bit. I don't think we have scored enough so we're going to have to have a really good bowling performance to get anything out of this game.

End of over 18 (10 runs) - Camberwell Carrots(86-3). 96 runs required from 22 overs. RR 4.78 RRR 4.36
We started the bowling well too but these two batters have got a good partnership going. Bruce needs to do much better.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
It looks like it's going to be an interesting end to the match with 4 wickets needed by us and less than 60 runs for them with about 13 overs to go.
S. Clouston (rf) 8-1-26-4, R. Van Blanken 0 (0b), H. Qassem 12 (21b)
End of over 27 (3 runs) - Camberwell Carrots(124-6). 58 runs required from 13 overs. RR 4.59 RRR 4.46
Clouston has been excellent today.

Ruff Royals won by 27 runs
Camberwell Carrots Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 6,865 6,520
Batting - Middle Order 6,331 6,250
Batting - Tail 4,369 3,929
Bowling - Seam 6,193 (24) 6,397 (32)
Bowling - Spin 7,334 (16) 4,773 (8)
Fielding/Keeping 9,423 8,299
Overall 127,410 118,130
Three wickets in an over for Rush towards the end made things a lot more comfortable than I was expecting. Clouston was the best of my bowlers though with 4-26 and Gera was my best batsman with 48 runs from 88 balls. Ingram's 34 not out from 29 balls is also worth a mention.
That win probably moves us up to 3rd as we leapfrog Camberwell.

Wanted to bat first as usual but such is life, a win is much needed today to avoid relegation and keep us in the hunt for 4th spot. We certainly aren't favourites for victory though against Ruffs boys.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
I think you're fairly safe from relegation given your NRR advantage and one of the bottom two would need to win all their games which, although possible, is unlikely.wolfberries wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 9:49 amHome wolfberries

I need a win to confirm promotion.

Not too bad so far although there's been some very difficult moments. It's been one of Best's best innings for my side and he has certainly needed to begin performing to the levels his skills merit. I still want to get at least 180+ as you never know when one of those flat crumbling pitches turn up.

cracking innings from McGhee, similar to Ben Youssef in the reverse fixture, basically won the match single handedlywolfberries wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 2:19 pmwolfberries South London's Number One CC

Fully deserved win...
If we win next week we secure third, which is a decent enough season in the T20, and gives us at least a little bit of prize money!

I would be cheering on Pedagogs against Bathaloner but I've just looked at their team and they are clearly more confident of avoiding relegation than Wolfie as they've picked a lot of youngsters!

I'm very pleased with that total. Best and Paton took the game away from you after Bass and Avila hung in there early on. That's only the 2nd senior century for Best and the 1st against a 'senior' side that will rate more than 22k.wolfberries wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 12:07 pmE. McCosker (rfs) 10-1-57-0, F.
