T. Ball (lws) 4-0-31-1, E. Harris 37 (34b), S. Bradshaw 2 (3b)
End of over 20 (11 runs) - The Ashes CC(108-7) RR 5.40

Uneven pitch and we bowled quite well so I'm happy. 3 wickets for Massey and 2 for Chudasama.

N. Gunter (rfm) 2-0-15-0, A. Evans 21 (24b), S. Whitehead 2 (7b)
End of over 8 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(55-1). 54 runs required from 12 overs. RR 6.88 RRR 4.50

We're off to a great start with the bat.

L. Shurmer (rf) 4-0-31-1, P. Fredericks 4 (2b), H. Daley 4 (2b)
End of over 19 (10 runs) - Gold Prospectors X1(122-4). 13 runs required from 1 overs. RR 6.42 RRR 13.00

Then

19.1 nb4 Salvana to Fredericks : Short, wide, four. No need to go into detail, that was dispatched to the boundary and I wouldn't expect anything less!

Then we lost off the last ball, ME is taking the CENSORED already

The Ashes CC Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 6,318 7,376
Batting - Middle Order 4,661 6,298
Batting - Tail 3,161 2,807
Bowling - Seam 6,378 (20) 6,045 (12)
Bowling - Spin 0 (0) 9,886 (8)
Fielding/Keeping 7,681 9,185
Overall 108,334 128,588

Ruff Royals won by 7 wickets.

A great win with Evans hitting a half century which was a big surprise considering how rubbish he's been in almost all of his previous 30+ games for the club.

I played a full strength team; it feels like such a long time since I've done that with my youths!

Looking at the standard of the league this is something you may need to do at lot, looks like I'm going to struggle to avoid relegation!

It's not the easiest thing to judge now as you've also got to look at the exact ages of opposition players to see when they move to the senior team. A key player could move (such as a keeper, the main wicket taker, best bat or whatever) and it could massively weaken a team. A quick look at your team suggests you're not going to lose that many players compared to most others this season whereas Penn CCC look like they'll lose about half there team by halfway through the season.

Some may find losing players throughout a season annoying but personally I think it just makes things more interesting.

Only issue I will have is if those cheeky chaps start buying players in :doh

Well will need to be on top of our game to chase that!

Match tied.

I'll take that to start with. Pedogogs hit 118 but soon reduced us to 41 for 5 on an uneven pitch. I thought we bowled decently but batted poorly until the end. Paton (45 not out) and Perry did well but the main batsmen were generally awful.

Tough game today. We were made to bowl first which I was okay with. The first 5 overs weren't great but we've come back into the game now.

They've started to get a few too many runs and unless we get them all out for about 120 then I think it's going to be a very difficult chase.

Will take that score, fingers crossed our seam bowlers have enough to defend this.

Oh and lets not forget a brilliant 108no from 122 balls by no3 Reeler.
