another disappointing performance today, lost by two wickets which is a bit misleading as opps had a bit of a collapse very late on. At the end of the day my aim this season was survival, and we're probably only one win away from achieving that, but it'd be nice if we didn't let a very promising position slip into nothingness. I decided to sell my two eldest players as one wasn't getting much first team action and the other was declining rapidly, so hopefully the 30K a week wages saved will somewhat help with our precarious financial position!!

With nothing much to play for, as I feel the title was out of reach even before this game, I picked a few younger players so it was a decent performance. I think losing the toss probably lost us this match more than anything. Best hit 95 not out for 65 balls and Paton a decent 40. My spinners were a bit more expensive than I would have liked and we failed to take many wickets.

We're still 2nd in the table; 6 points clear of 3rd and 10 points behind 1st.
