Ruff Royals won by 6 wickets.

Ruff Royals Bathaloner
Batting - Top Order 7,990 7,974
Batting - Middle Order 6,127 6,576
Batting - Tail 3,172 4,690
Bowling - Seam 6,817 (40) 6,841 (40)
Bowling - Spin 0 (0) 0 (0)
Fielding/Keeping 8,511 8,934
Overall 125,610 133,279

67 for Mills, 44 for Norris, and 58 not out for Whitehead sees us to a very useful win. In theory, this means that we should be in the mix for promotion. However, I suspect my bowling will remain pretty toothless throughout the season so I can't see us being consistent enough to take top spot.

looks like an incredibly tough Div 2 on paper, 4 of the top 10 highest waged sides in England, and don't seem to be any stand out weaker sides. Going to be a right battle all season I would think! Away today in Crumbling/Windy, won the toss and having a bat, 15-0 from 4 overs so far.

4.1 W van der Westhuizen to Herdegen : Loud scream for LBW. The umpire pauses for a moment before raising the finger. Superb bowling from van der Westhuizen, getting the ball to move off the seam.M. Herdegen lbw b. L. van der Westhuizen 17 (20b 2x4 0x6) SR:85.00
P. Southorn (rf) 2-0-8-1, M. Herdegen 17 (19b), C. Branston 0 (0b)
End of over 4 (1 run) - wolfberries(18-1) RR 4.50
3.6 W Southorn to McGhee : [catch] What looked like an above waist height ball from Southorn, has been creamed by McGhee to deep extra cover where he picks out Robertson. The umpires are checking with each other here and it seems it is NOT a no ball. McGhee is on his way, and he is fuming with that decision.E. McGhee c N. Robertson b. P. Southorn 1 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR:20.00

90/3 at drinks, fairly even at this stage. Hopefully one of our bats can go and make a decent contribution, could be all the difference!

Not the worst total at drinks.

lol, 116-6 now :D I have to be patient this season, it's a young side with not much experience, especially in the batting department! I'm pretty much expecting relegation, but we'll fight all the way

Well, I'm calling for my players to be drug tested after the game as at the moment I can't see any other reason for my players to have done so brilliantly.

On a flat pitch, they reduced Inchigeela Angels to 16-4 and depite a spirited comeback eventually dismissed them for 177. Diaz starred with 6-30.

Then we had a 112 run opening partnership. Although we have lost 2 wickets now, it's looking like we'll finish the game with plenty of overs to spare.

L. van der Westhuizen (lfm) 10-0-50-2, S. Payne 12 (13b), E. Peden 11 (9b)
End of over 50 (9 runs) - wolfberries(267-8) RR 5.34

Will take that score.

E. Peden (rf) 8-0-29-1, D. Sheldrick 1 (1b), S. Shah 47 (82b)
End of over 26 (1 run) - Pedagogs(105-1). 163 runs required from 24 overs. RR 4.04 RRR 6.79

Although opponents have started well, wickets would be nice.

Ruff Royals won by 7 wickets

Inchigeela Angels Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 13,907 13,823
Batting - Middle Order 9,833 10,665
Batting - Tail 5,653 4,389

Bowling - Spin 14,297 (20) 12,128 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 15,509 16,589
Overall 226,941 225,330

Ratings confirm the need for a drug test to see if they've been taking performance enchancing substances.

The only disappointment is that Brown ends the match on 99 not out and didn't quite make a deserved ton.

was always going to be a tough match, and our young bats struggled against a strong opposition bowling attack. Result: lost by 7 wickets. Highlights of the game a hard fought 30 (65) from our 21 y/o captain as top scorer, following on from his unbeaten 50 in the T20, and overall not a bad performance with the ball. Could make a case that 4 of this side wouldn't be first choice usually, but how much can we improve in the ratings :think maybe could get to 215K or so. Gonna be a right uphill battle, but hey, we're gaining experience all the time and I'm excited to see how the team develops in the next couple of seasons.

Erm our international medium pace bowler is struggling to use the slow and overcast conditions!
