Tough game next week against Trevor Francis Tracksuit (great club name) who have 11 wins from 11 so far. Probably need to win all three of our remaining games to have a chance of catching up with Bathaloner in 2nd place.
Cheers mate

A collapse of five wickets in sixteen balls has probably cost us the game!

Ruff Royals won by 7 wickets

We managed to chase 153 to win the game and the title! :dance

It wasn't the best bowling performance with Harrison in particular suffering as he went for 10 an over. We only took 4 wickets but it turned out not to be as difficult a chase as I thought it might be.

81 for Banerjee to continue his excellent season with the bat. Bennett also contributed well with 49 not out; he seems to do much better in T20 (averaging about 37) than in YOD (averaging about 12). We won with a couple of overs to spare.

Could possibly push for promotion if we win the last two games, but not sure our aging squad could cope in division one. So decided to play a few prospects today and see how it goes.

Despite not being safe from relegation, I played a weakened team to rest some players for a big game on Friday. As long as Zippy's Rainbow Destroyers don't buy a whole new senior squad, I should have won by this tim next week and secured my place in T20 1.1 for another season.

woke up and saw I set the pitch to dry by mistake :doh :doh so decided to have a bit of fun and play 4 spinners, including a 20 and 21 yo. Unsurprisingly they struggled somewhat and opps made 173/5 in their 20. We batted pretty well and Richards made a nice unbeaten half-century with 66* (59) but the run rate was always going to be too much and we fell 21 runs short. Bit frustrating as this costs us any chance of 2nd place, but only have myself to blame ... no idea what I was thinking with the pitch selection

Coasting to victory but two collapses cost us, plus the fact our keeper missed his first four chances didn't help

A decent win yesterday. Banerjee 71 not out and Durham with 44 enabled us to chase 187 to win on a slow pitch. We're still 4 points behind top spot and with a far inferior net run rate it seems extremely unlikely we'll get promoted this season.

A huge game today in the relegation battle in division 1. There's 3 teams on 20 points battling relegation. Sledgingshire, us and, the side we're facing today, St Marks Hill Strollers.

It's a dry pitch and pretty much a must win game.

End of over 32 (2 runs) - Ruff Royals(155-4) RR 4.84

It's very much in the balance at the moment. Whitehead's move to the opening position continues to pay off as did Schmidt's move to number 3 although he was out for 52. I've no idea what sort of total is going to be good enough; my suspicion is that we're going to need to get to at least 250. I doubt that it is likely we'll make it to as much as that.

End of over 47 (maiden) - Ruff Royals(240-10) RR 5.11

110 for Whitehead. 52 for Schmidt and not much from everyone else. Whitehead dropped on 76 and 98 so a little lucky to get a century but he probably deserved that luck.

I don't know if this is going to be enough.
