Lower Standards CC Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 12,594 14,054
Batting - Middle Order 9,310 10,420
Batting - Tail 3,813 4,512
Bowling - Seam 5,877 (12) 10,363 (12)
Bowling - Spin 8,795 (8) 13,002 (8)
Fielding/Keeping 12,841 15,463
Overall 172,805 214,913
Ruff Royals won by 9 wickets
This win should pretty much seal my survival as we're 12 points clear with only 4 games to go. Hodges was a bit expensive in conditions that didn't suit him but all our other bowlers did a pretty good job on an uneven pitch.
The batting was comfortable with an opening stand of 125 when we were chasing 131 for the win. Avila was out for 70 and Solomon ended up 57 not out.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
I never even checked to see who was going on tour. I just assumed it didn't matter as I probably wouldn't win anyway. I've got one player on tour too (technically two but he wouldn't be eligible for my youth league games).wolfberries wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 10:25 amJust checked and only one of his five West Indian U20 players are touring next week as well, which is a shame

We're facing Gold Prospectors X1 today too.
E. King (rfm) 2-0-3-0, S. Whitehead 7 (17b), W. Mills 22 (42b)
End of over 11 (1 run) - Ruff Royals(38-1) RR 3.45
A satisfactory start which was so nearly a bad start as Mills was dropped not long ago. Green pitch.

End of over 20 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(66-2) RR 3.30
Probably need to up that run rate by quite a lot in a short space of time whilst not losing any wickets.

End of over 40 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(189-4) RR 4.72
N. Gera 2 (1b), A. Clarke 66 (65b), G. Griffin (rm) 8-0-46-1
Probably at least 30 runs short on a green pitch. A nice innings from Clarke who I feel has gone off the boil recently but might now be back to somewhere near his best.
End of over 35 (7 runs) - Gold Prospectors X1(190-1) RR 5.43
F. Gosein 91 (94b), H. Daley 76 (95b), C. Chudasama (rf) 5.5-0-42-0
We were a bit toothless when bowling. I don't seem to have any wickets takers which is a worry.

Overall 124,235 149,760
In my defence, we were a little bit outrated. We are now joint 2nd bottom with about 4 teams. Crucial game next week against the side who are actually 2nd bottom due to NRR.

D. Ramshaw (lm) 4-0-11-1, T. Liberatore 45 (68b), T. Brown 33 (51b)
End of over 22 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(87-1) RR 3.95
Not too bad a start on a slow pitch.
Kirk is no longer with us and Solomon isn't playing today as he's starting to look a bit past it although when he's rested there might still be a place for him. I picked up Brown cheap and he's an improvement on both Kirk and Solomon but Best and Liberatore are due regular game time now anyway. So the batting may look a little weaker whilst having plenty of room for players to develop.

End of over 27 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(110-3) RR 4.07
Losing 2 wickets in the over after the break has hurt us so we'll need to go into recovery mode for a bit and make sure we don't lose any more wickets for a long time.
