E. Perry (rm) 7-2-22-0, W. Brownless 12 (15b), D. McKenzie 20 (36b)
End of over 14 (maiden) - The Horder Initiative(58-3) RR 4.14

They decided to bat which I was ok with on an uneven pitch. We started well with McCutchin taking all 3 wickets but it's time to pick up some more wickets and really put the pressure on.

A. Diaz (rfm) 4-0-26-0, W. Brownless 30 (43b), D. McKenzie 40 (65b)
End of over 23 (6 runs) - The Horder Initiative(100-3) RR 4.35

They're getting too many runs now. We need these 2 gone just before the break.

End of over 25 (6 runs) - wolfberries(122-4) RR 4.88

Not looking great and losing a wicket 3 balls before drinks didn't help!

A. Ten Dam (rfm) 6-0-15-1, N. Ferreira 1 (2b), D. McKenzie 47 (77b)
End of over 26 (2 runs) - The Horder Initiative(109-5) RR 4.19

Almost exactly what I asked for in that they lost 2 wickets before the break but, unfortunately, McKenzie wasn't one of them. McKenzie going just after the break would be nice.

tough game today, and we're not making a great fist of it so far. lost the toss on uneven/overcast and put in to bat (would've batted anyway). lots have made a start, but only Townsend with 38 has made a significant contribution, and 130-6 from 36 isn't exactly a great situation

P. Callaway (rfs) 3-0-20-0, D. McKenzie 72 (114b), N. Irvin 5 (14b)
End of over 36 (5 runs) - The Horder Initiative(145-6) RR 4.03

Mckenzie is the dangerman and he looks like he'll get them to a competitive total. I'd prefer to get them out for less than 180.

P. Toovey (rfs) 6-0-41-1, E. McCosker 26 (12b), O. Harford 68 (59b)
End of over 42 (10 runs) - wolfberries(252-5) RR 6.00

Getting more like a total we can defend, just need Harford our Finisher to make hay now.

McKenzie ended up getting more than half their runs. I'd have liked to have got them out for less than 180 but this is a chaseable total. On the negative side, it's my batters that have to do the chasing so probably all out for 120!

End of over 50 (8 runs) - wolfberries(342-6) RR 6.84

Brilliant innings by Harford helped us reach a score we can defend, will we is another thing.

After a decent first 5 overs, it looks like we've decided to implode with my 2 best bats out in consecutive overs.

N. Ferreira (rfm) 4-0-26-1, L. Avila 17 (21b), J. Bass 1 (1b)

N. Mol (lfm) 6-0-65-0, A. Bowers 30 (32b), E. Perry 7 (10b)
End of over 32 (11 runs) - Ruff Royals(185-5). 18 runs required from 18 overs. RR 5.78 RRR 1.00

It's not been easy but we're close now. I'd like these 2 to see it through though as it's only pure bowlers after them.

Ruff Royals won by 5 wickets.

Ruff Royals The Horder Initiative
Batting - Top Order 13,936 10,767
Batting - Middle Order 10,382 10,063
Batting - Tail 4,454 6,270
Bowling - Seam 12,231 (40) 9,226 (40)
Bowling - Spin 13,668 (10) 11,467 (10)
Fielding/Keeping 16,433 12,543
Overall 222,529 188,131

Not a great performance considering the ratings. 3-29 from McCutchin was the best of our bowlers and a bit of a return to form after what I thought wasn't the best end to the last season for him. 56 for Avila, 48 for Bass, and 41 not out for Bowers. Bowers needs more of those sort of innings as he should be performing better with the bat than he has. A win is a win and it's 4 points whether you perform badly and win or perform well and win.

Whoops , couldn't defend 342 against probably the weakest team in the league.

I think we may already be relegated!

Just remembered I'm in a league three!
