Ruff Royals won by 7 wickets
Ruff Royals gRhyllidae
Batting - Top Order 12,501 12,181
Batting - Middle Order 7,573 9,830
Batting - Tail 5,505 6,421
Bowling - Seam 11,441 (20) 13,407 (10)
Bowling - Spin 12,288 (30) 12,447 (40)
Fielding/Keeping 14,650 15,845
Overall 200,511 218,042
I'm delighted that my youngsters managed to win. It was my elder statesman, Ten Dam (aged 27) who was the best of the bowlers though and took 5-37. I was very happy with McCall's performance with 86 runs from 136 balls but it's a shame he got out with only 5 runs needed. Best was my other older player (just shy of 27) and he did great to steady the ship with 64 not out.

and for a couple of my players the chance of personal glory too, De Jager currently top of the batting charts by just 19 runs, and Keen 2nd in the bowling stakes, three wickets off the top spot!

Lord Rockingham's XI wolfberries
Batting - Top Order 11,809 9,932
Batting - Middle Order 10,031 8,328
Batting - Tail 7,103 3,380
Bowling - Seam 9,331 (20) 9,410 (40)
Bowling - Spin 11,532 (30) 8,865 (10)
Fielding/Keeping 11,073 13,099
Overall 195,156 168,988
Result: wolfberries won by 12 runs
Wasn't expecting that win but will take it, plus experience for the youngsters as well.
Although the unbeaten 123 from near 28 year old opener Herdegen may have helped.

Bowling - Seam 6,105 (20) 6,798 (16)

Fielding/Keeping 8,447 8,477
Overall 117,790 123,479
Bathaloner won by 8 wickets
We got off to an extremely slow start on a green pitch and, whilst we did recover a bit, we were always struggling to set a truly challenging total. We got to a semi-respectable score of 136 mainly due to Mills' 59 from 42 balls.
My hopes were raised slightly when we got an early wicket but we didn't get another until the 100 was up and Bathaloner ended their very successful promotion campaign with a win.
Congratulations to Bathaloner on promotion.

Relegation decider today and we were asked to bowl first.
It feels like we've been in control of the game for most of the match but now we're in big trouble after losing 3 wickets in 3 overs and gone from being ahead of the run rate to being very much behind.

Overall 238,644 243,457
Pedagogs won by 37 runs.
Moses' last 2 overs were really expensive and probably stopped us from getting them out for a lot less and having a much more comfortable run chase. Going from 70-2 to 88-6 didn't help us and was probably just as key, if not moreso, than Moses' last couple of overs.
On the plus side, I'm very happy with those ratings. I didn't think I'd get that high even with 2 allrounders in the side to inflate things a bit.
It's a shame to be relegated but at least it should mean that next season we're in a promotion and a relegation battle rather than just 2 relegation battles.

very odd performance today on Slow/Cloudy. We started off very well, 88-0 off 11, going only at 8 runs an over ... only to do bugger all in the 2nd half of the innings and end on 136-5. And opps never looked in trouble, getting the win by a 4 wicket margin, and promotion to Div 2. Well done to them! 3rd place is fine for us this season, hopefully we can do a little better next time around!

Not much to play for but we got a good score on a crumbling pitch. We got off to a very good start with a 36 from Dotson and 43 from Mills but with Gera's being the standout performance with 69 not out from only 74 balls.

I think Schneider's couple of wickets have been key and have really opened the door for the bowlers to profit and push us to the win.
