opps 295/10 in 47 overs. Pretty happy with the effort from the bowlers, but feel this will be a little too tricky a chase for our young bats ... we'll see :think :think

V. Guaita lbw b. J. Quintana 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
A hattrick for Quintana!
1.3WQuintana to Guaita : [Slower Ball] Slower ball from Quintana. Low bounce fools Guaita and the ball squeezes under the bat, hits him on the foot and it's LBW. Hawkeye shows that the ball would have bounced twice before hitting the wicket.
1.2WQuintana to Eze : [catch] Out! Eze has nicked a regulation outswinger from Quintana to Reddy at first slip.E. Eze c S. Reddy b. J. Quintana 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
1.1WQuintana to Dann : Trapped on the crease to a full, inswinging delivery, Dann looks down at his feet as if he knows his fate.S. Dann lbw b. J. Quintana 5 (3b 1x4 0x6) SR:166.67

good start

End of over 50 (4 runs) - wolfberries(248-6) RR 4.96

Not the worst total to defend.

G. Jennings (rfm) 9.3-0-48-4, C. Moses 2 (3b)
End of over 50 (2 runs) - Ruff Royals(232-10) RR 4.64

Slow pitch and it's an okay score but I'm not sure I'd say we were favourites. Bass was in for about 80 balls and his BH didn't trigger once but at least Liberatore's accumulator did.

C. Moses (rws) 3-0-6-2, S. Walshe 5 (11b), G. Patrizi 0 (2b)
End of over 21 (1 run) - Pedagogs(54-5). 179 runs required from 29 overs. RR 2.57 RRR 6.17

Ok, I'm definitely making us favourites now. If I'd have checked to see the ages of the Pedagogs players then I would have made us favourites before the game started.

Well after the horror show of the early hattrick our bats very very nearly pulled off a miracle:

South London's Number One CC v Bathaloner >> Match Ratings
Match Ratings
South London's Number One CC Bathaloner
Batting - Top Order 11,701 13,557
Batting - Middle Order 10,398 10,111

Bowling - Seam 12,275 (40) 11,920 (40)
Bowling - Spin 13,030 (10) 12,500 (10)
Fielding/Keeping 15,412 14,456
Overall 211,656 217,591

result: Tie! a real topsy-turvy game, obviously disappointing that we couldn't get that last run to get us over the line, but overall a very pleasing performance in difficult circumstances!

Will take that win, now to try and pick a team that isn't exhausted for the Cup :think

Great comeback! Always possible to recover on a hard pitch but it's still tough to do.

Ruff Royals won by 120 runs

Pedagogs Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 9,118 13,841
Batting - Middle Order 6,912 10,666
Batting - Tail 5,066 4,360
Bowling - Seam 9,682 (30) 13,736 (20)
Bowling - Spin 9,355 (20) 12,263 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 10,906 16,624
Overall 159,796 225,246

A comprehensive win and a nice early boost to the NRR.

51 for Liberatore, 64 for Bass, and a handy 29 from allrounder Hodges. 4-34 for Diaz, 3-21 for Moses, and a very economical 3-9 for Callaway.
