M. Weare (rf) 7.1-0-24-2, J. Lord 13 (20b)
End of over 40 (maiden) - wolfberries(145-10) RR 3.62

Very nearly 150, we still have a small chance in these conditions.

I hope everyone has had a good christmas and let's hope for a better new year!

T. Vaughn (rm) 8-0-32-3, A. Inman 8 (8b), C. Kimmorley 0 (0b)
End of over 40 (4 runs) - Bathaloner(204-7) RR 5.10

Not a great start to the game for us on a slow pitch; that is probably too much to chase. We had our usual problem of struggling to take wickets until it was too late.

S. Mackay (lfm) 2-0-9-0, W. Mills 9 (7b), A. Evans 5 (11b)
End of over 3 (7 runs) - Ruff Royals(14-0). 191 runs required from 37 overs. RR 4.67 RRR 5.16

J. Lord (rm) 4-0-6-0, L. Mosbey 9 (8b), B. Ridgway 0 (3b)
End of over 8 (1 run) - Sledgingshire(26-4). 120 runs required from 32 overs. RR 3.25 RRR 3.75

Well we've certainly had a decent start.

D. Duckworth (lm) 1-0-6-0, A. Evans 26 (47b), W. Mills 50 (56b)
End of over 17 (6 runs) - Ruff Royals(78-0). 127 runs required from 23 overs. RR 4.59 RRR 5.52

Mills is doing well and the run rate isn't out of control yet but it's still very tricky.

W. Takarusenga (rm) 7-0-31-2, M. Schmidt 8 (8b), S. Clouston 1 (1b)
End of over 29 (6 runs) - Ruff Royals(131-5). 74 runs required from 11 overs. RR 4.52 RRR 6.73

We've lost 3 or 4 quick wickets and the run rate is difficult on a slow pitch so I can't see us getting any points here.

That's pretty much my youth season over as there's not much to play for now.

At least there shouldn't be too much more talk of Brexit.

L. Blades (lfs) 10-0-58-2, E. Perry 0 (0b), J. Bass 57 (61b)
End of over 40 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(181-5) RR 4.53

Just lost my finisher after he had managed to get himself in and at pretty much the perfect time and situation for a finisher to start doing well. I guess this is an okay total so far for a slow pitch but Bass is my last recognized batsman so he's got a lot to do to get us to 220+ or preferably 240+.

Edit: And a few balls later Bass is out.

home against gRyhllidae, lost the toss and had a bowl. opps got 133-10 in their 50, a strong all round bowling performance with each bowler picking up at least one wicket. In reply we're 25/1 off 9. we always lose to this opponent so I'm fully expecting another collapse ... but we'll see

A. Ten Dam (rfm) 4-0-14-0, R. Best 11 (17b), J. Kendrick 13 (26b)
End of over 7 (2 runs) - Inchigeela Angels(25-0). 182 runs required from 43 overs. RR 3.57 RRR 4.23

We were all out for 206 which I think is at least 20 runs short. No wickets for my seamers yet.

Not sure we are going to defend that with our attack, it's basically all down to Peden methinks.
