Squad for second One Day tour announced

Post by JonoHeaps » Sun Sep 20, 2020 9:24 am

Well well, it snuck up on us!
After two successful senior tours in which New Zealand secured promotion to One Day division one and Twenty20 division two, the second One Day tour of season 45 kicks off in just over a week.

Still nursing afterparty hangovers, Doc and I (mostly Doc) have somehow cobbled together a squad for what one might call the One Day Premier League. Here I present the architects of New Zealand's imminent div one glory!

Batsman

Vaughan Brennan (Captain)
Duncan Cox (Keeper)
Motu Jellick
Shontayne John (Captain)
Sonny-Bill Killen
Kirby Lill
Graham Perrett (Keeper)
Royston Savage
Kerry Sorensen

Bowlers/All-rounders

Dinny Botting
Jeff Doncon (Captain)
Darrel Kember
Clem Kenney
Troy Morrison
William Seear
Owen Towers
Fotu Ware
Bull Whitelock

I hope everyone has been enjoying the national happenings over the last few weeks. I myself have been very appreciative of the daily news reports summing up all the matches. I'm looking forward to another exciting tour next week!

As always, feel free to post or drop us a private line at any time.

Was chuffed to see that not only did two players, Botting and Brennan, that I pulled, trained and sold at 23, open the batting in a recent Senior friendly. They also took eight wickets between them.
