South Africa U19 v Pakistan U19 >> Match Ratings
Match Ratings
South Africa U19 Pakistan U19
Batting - Top Order 7,807 7,035
Batting - Middle Order 6,553 6,291
Batting - Tail 4,062 3,810
Bowling - Seam 6,893 (30) 6,682 (30)
Bowling - Spin 7,522 (20) 7,104 (20)
Fielding/Keeping 8,238 7,591
Overall 130,064 121,769

14 run win over South Africa takes us to 2nd place on 12 points and one more game left.
We have managed to avoid relegation, and also have a chance of winning the title, we have to win today and hope that Scotland U19 loses.

Low scoring match, we got bowled out for 176, with contributions coming from Shaiman Saleem (36), Naik Hasan (30), Haseeb Munir (29), and Qarar Rehman (27).

Bowlers all bowled really well, and our player of the day is Rauf Shehzad who claimed figures of 9.3-1-21-4.
He cleaned up the lower order just when it looked like they might chase the target down.

Won by 29 runs, but Scotland won their game as well, so they win the Division 1 title and we get 2nd place.
Overall our guys did really well in the tour, considering that we were outrated in 3 out of 5 games.

Our batsmen finally performed, scoring 333/7, with Jabir Chatta scoring a nice 110.
Our spinners managed to bowl under an economy rate of 5, as we were successful in defending the total.
Player of the day is chared between Inamullah Umaid for his figures of 10-0-47-2 and Jabir Chatta for his century which gave us a good platform.

As you may all have seen, I will not be running for re-election as I will not be able to give time towards managing the U19s for now, and have decided to step aside in order to give someone else the chance who will be able to give their time to the team, and help the team progress.

I would like to thank all my assistants and the community for the support shown during my tenure.

I will be available to join as an assistant though if the elected management team would want.

Hello everyone!

I have been elected as a Pakistan U19 national manager. Thank you for your support during the elections! Though, there were just two managers who asked questions on my thread during the elections campaign.

I would be happy to take any input or idea from anyone regarding the Pakistan U19 team or activities/competitions which are good for the Pakistan team, community and forums. It is very important for all of us to pull Pakistani youths for the future of our team, which I hope you do otherwise we would like to arrange youth pull competitions anyway (for which would be nice to find sponsors).

Additionally, 3 spots are empty for the position of Pakistan U19 national assistant. Ideally, I would like to have one experienced and two inexperienced managers for these spots. Please comment below if you are interested and tell us how often do you log in on FTP and how much time you would be able to give as a Pakistan U19 National assistant.

Regards.

I would skip description of our first OD tour after what has happened in our last game, we were in a position for promotion but lost 5 wickets for just 7 runs with 2 settled batters runouts in same over, also we had batting upto number 9. We unfortunately can't do anything when ME does these wonders. :| :?

End of over 39 (5 runs) - Pakistan U20(144-5). 26 runs required from 11 overs. RR 3.69 RRR 2.36
M. Shabbir 32 (57b), K. Ghani 13 (28b), M. Ishaq (rfm) 10-0-52-1

Fall of wickets: 1-42 (M. Rahim, 11.2 ov) 2-71 (S. Masroor, 21.4 ov) 3-97 (A. Naseem, 27.3 ov) 4-108 (S. Barlas, 29.3 ov) 5-110 (T. Shakir, 30.2 ov) 6-145 (M. Shabbir, 39.1 ov) 7-148 (K. Ghani, 39.5 ov) 8-148 (R. Daraz, 41.1 ov) 9-152 (S. Alvi, 42.5 ov) 10-152 (I. Afzal, 42.6 ov)

We have had quite ok ratings but still worse than all other teams all time during my tenure (don't consider this as an excuse) and MOD-wmchamps was there to assist me during first season but we lost games unfortunately. Last OD tour was unlucky or game engine played tricks with many close games and collapses.

In today's game my newly inducted assitant changed my orders and selected one batsman as a bowler which messed up everything (he described as a mistake when I asked him). Though I had unchecked "Assistant can set match orders" on him but he was still able to change orders when I went to bed. Yes, anyone can make mistake so it is what it is.

I would suggest advertising for assistants if you do not know anyone you would like to approach.

I find having 3 assistants gives a lot of help and flexibility, as we can all check on each other.

Ideally I would suggest having at least 1 experienced person in the team to sort of get 2nd opinions from.
