Last match of the tour against Sri Lanka, and a forgettable one which ended in heartbreak.

Winning the toss and batting first, Sri Lanka got off to a flier, scoring 12 off the first over.
Shaheer Akhtar then came back well in his second over, and picked up 2 wickets.
Sarfraz Waqas also got 2 wickets in his first over, and at 38/4 we were on top.
Sri Lanka had other ideas, as a 34 run 5th wicket partnership, and a 38 run 8th wicket partnership got them to 140 all out.
Pick of the bowlers was Sarfraz Waqas for his 5 wicket haul, getting figures of 7.1-0-27-5

Our openers provided us with a 50 run partnership within 10 overs, but it all went downhill after that as we collapsed in true Pakistani style to 119 all out, and we lost our last 4 wickets in just 7 balls.
Ilyas Khanum top scored with 27, and openers Galileo Galilei and Ammar Cheema scored 26 and 25 respectively.

Match Ratings
Pakistan Sri Lanka
Batting - Top Order 13,653 14,109
Batting - Middle Order 12,718 12,321
Batting - Tail 4,677 6,324
Bowling - Seam 14,000 (20) 13,901 (20)
Bowling - Spin 14,230 (30) 14,017 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 16,559 16,962
Overall 239,887 245,436

Following this result, we have relegated to Division 2.
It is definitely disappointing yes, but we will be aiming to bounce right back with the limited resources we have.

Being honest, we have been punching above our weight since the season started, as our options have not looked good since we are lacking in all departments aside from keeping.

We currently have only 1 U29 batsman who has secondaries at spectacular level or above.
The other departments are not faring much better as well, and we are taking steps to hopefully fix these issues, among them being scouting for potential players, and then getting in contact with managers regarding training plans.

Today a friendly match is organized on sticky pitch against New Zealand while the weather is cloudy at Basin Reserve.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl

Pakistan started really well and looks in control right from the start as only 3 Kiwi batsman manage to go in double figure. Pick of the bowler is Tasleem Agha with the figures of 8.3.15.4.

Pakistani batsman chase down the target of 107 in 31st over for the loss of 5 wickets. They started good but lost wickets in the end. Pick of the batsman is Ammar Munaf who scored 52.

A friendly match is arranged against India on Slow pitch.

India won the toss and elected to bat.

India started good and scored 55 in just 12.5 overs for the loss of just 1 wicket. They batted really well as their top 5 scored 20+ runs and they placed themselves in good position to score a good total as they reached 210 in just 42.3 while just lost their 5th wicket. But in the end Pakistani bowlers bowled well and able to restrict them to below 250.

While chasing Pakistan had a mix type of start as no one looks in good shape as Vohra scored 32 and Waqas 36 and no other batsman looks to score and win the match. India placed very well as Pakistan's half side is out for just 82 in 24th over. After that waqas and Estijab had a good partnership of 67 but couldn't resist long. Jillani try to finish in the end with of help of Estijab but couldn't do that as we have consumed full 50 overs and just manage to score 223.

India won the match by 25 runs but man of the match goes to Aaqib Estijab for his brilliant all rounder performance as he scored 75 with bat and got 2 for 32 in his 10.

I think we bowled badly :(

A friendly match is played on slow pitch against Bangladesh in overcast conditions.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat.

Relatively its a good start considering we are 2 for 60 in 18th over but afterwards no one could bat long and build a solid partnership except Ahsan waqas who scored 43 to give Bangladesh a target of 172 to chase.

Bangladesh did it in style as one of their opener scored 83 not out to give them 5 wickets win. Nothing special in bowling too.

We are here in Bermuda Babies CG playing a friendly match against Bermuda and the host team prepared a flat pitch in overcast conditions.

Bermuda won the toss and elected to bowl.

Pakistan started brilliantly and had a opening stand of 139 in 25th over when Ammar Munaf lost his wicket on 72. The other opener Ammar Cheema also scored 84 runs and from rest of the team only Haroon Jabbar scored 56. All 10 wickets gone in 47th over for 252.

Response of the bowlers is on and got 3 quick wickets in just 12th over and the score is only 61. Then the host recognize the target is not big and had a partnership of 56. After that nothing special from the bowling line and the score was chased down in 48th over for the lost of 5.

First match of the WC was against Sri Lanka.

We won the toss, and chose to bowl first in Overcast/Hard conditions.

Our bowlers started off well, as we picked up some early wickets and kept them to around 4 RPO.
What then followed was a brilliant 187 run partnership for the 4th wicket, but just when it looked like they were going for a 300+ score, our death bowlers came back and restricted them to 283/8.
Junaid Jamshed was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 10-1-52-2.

In the chase, our batsmen made a brisk start, getting us to 114/2 in under 20 overs, after which we then suffered a mini-collapse.
At 145/5, we were not looking good, but then we had a 6th wicket partnership of 120 runs, and then we finally got home for a 4 wicket win.
Shah Saeed led the way with 97, and Masood Gulzar was unbeaten on 58.

Player of the Day is Shah Saeed for anchoring the innings during our chase.
