Third match was against Zimbabwe on a Hard pitch with Sunny weather.

Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl first, we would have done the same if we had won the toss.

Their bowlers ran through our batting line-up and dismissed us for just 162.
Our Fast bowler Abdul Basit Abdus Samad top scored with 38 in a disappointing batting effort.

In reply, Zimbabwe cruised to a comfortable 6 wicket win which also boosts their NRR and leaves us with a lot of work to do if we want to gain promotion.
Junaid Jamshed picked up 2 wickets but Player of the Day is Abdus Samad for his batting and economical bowling of 8-0-27-1.

Played Scotland today in Uneven/Sunny conditions in a must-win match for us in order to stay in contention for promotion and ODI WC qualification.

Scotland won the toss and elected to bowl first, we would have done the same.

We started off well, losing only one wicket in the first 15 overs. What followed then was a dramatic collapse from 84/1 to 130 all out, with their WS Cunningham picking up 5 wickets. Masood Gulzar top scored with 39, as only 4 of our batsmen got into double figures.

The chase was a comfortable one for Scotland, as they got home with plenty of overs to spare and lost only 2 wickets.
The bowlers did well but they did not have enough runs to defend. Nawaz Abubakar picked up the 2 wickets.
No one really stood up for the team so we do not have a Player of the Day.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Shahzaday11 will be in charge of the upcoming T20 and ODI tours as we feel that the time is right to help him get some experience in charge of the team.
I will not be running for re-election and will be supporting Shahzaday11 as he has proven to be a very capable manager and has done a phenomenal job as assistant. He has also stepped in a few times when needed, setting orders for tour matches and winning most of them, and ensuring that orders are set for friendlies.
The upcoming tours will give him a good platform to get familiarized in the role before elections, and hopefully the community supports him as well.

That being said, the USA match tomorrow will be my last time setting orders for tour matches, with the exception of emergencies which may come up.

Final match of the tour vs USA in Uneven/Cloudy conditions.

USA won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Top scorer Ammar Cheema anchored our innings with a fine 63 while Vohra gave him good support in a 96 run partnership for the 3rd wicket. Vohra's 46 runs and 32 from Khanum enabled us to get 220 in these tough conditions.

The bowlers had some runs to play with this time, and they performed really well, dismissing the opposition for 141 to help us earn a 79 run win.
All bowlers had an economy rate of less than 4, and Junaid Jamshed was the star and our Player of the Day with figures of 10-0-38-5. He chipped in with the bat as well, scoring 18 runs.
Nawaf Laeeq picked up 3 wickets, while Kashaan Abbasi and Sarfraz Waqas got 1 each.

We finished in 4th place on 8 points.

Ammar Cheema was the top scorer in the tour with 275 runs, Manzoor Ansari was 8th in the tour and 2nd for us with 166 runs.
Ilyas Khanum the only other Pakistan batsman in the top 30 run scorers,

We should see some interesting matches in Division 1 based on the pitch types.

Not too many high-scoring games I think

1st Match of the tour against USA on sticky pitch while the weather is windy on 28th December.

Pakistan lost the toss and USA elected to bowl first, we would do that too if we won the toss.

Openers started very well and gave a solid start of 44 runs in 6 overs where Illyas khanum lost his wicket for 30 on just 24 balls and remain the highest scorer. The other opener Jafar Vohra lost his wicket in 10th over when the team total is 59. Here we look to score big but just lost 6 wickets in 3 overs including a Hat-trick by T.Mossely. We end up scoring just 95 in 18.2 overs which doesn't look comfortable in any case.

While bowling we have a pretty good bowling as we put them 5-64 in 11th over. Here we need the similar kind of bowling what they did but we dropped catches and A.Brock scored 33 not out for the winning side.

Junaid Jamshed and Muslim Rauf both pick 2 wickets each. Pick of the day is Illays Khanum for his quick 30 runs.

Hard luck today, bowling first would probably have worked for us but it was a good match as both teams found the conditions tough
