What a finish to the tour! 4 teams finished on 12 points and we managed to stay up with a convincing win on Day 5. Given the ratings, I would say we did a good job with 3 wins.

Code: Select all

Ratings by round #
Team Name	1	2	3	4	5
South Africa	266,605	253,972	251,791	244,446	242,993
Ireland 256,893	257,003	247,811	240,790	238,232
Bangladesh	251,339	243,908	246,691	233,216	234,178
Kenya 260,095	249,178	246,253	241,026	236,776
Sri Lanka	253,450	246,588	241,652	239,217	233,283
Bermuda 252,118	250,540	242,949	242,138	232,140
Lesbirel was the star on day 5 with 72 runs and 3 wickets. Pieris played a great knock as well, scoring 65 in 65 balls coming in at 8 and farming the strike.

not much luck it seems - horrible to go down after a 1 wicket loss.
Hopefully we won't be following you with the u20s...
ex-SL u19 manager, winner T20 world cup, runner up 50 over world cup way back when.
More recently winner of an unacknowledged SOD 1.1 and T20 1.1 double :P

Horrible tour. Don't really want to recap that one
Lots to think about before the WC. Let's hope you have better luck with the U20s

Not so good second game. Not a bad score, but none of the bowlers seems to get going.

Next game against Bangladesh on Crumbling/Sunny

S45 T20 WC

Post by rkpny » Sun Oct 18, 2020 4:54 am

Crowdsourcing time! I want to hear your opinion on bowling choices. Our pitches are Crumbling, Uneven, Green, Slow, Hard.

What would be your breakdown of bowling types?
2 ARs (Lesbirel is one. Dayasiri Wijesiriwardene (RFM)/Ranjit Bowen (RM)/Angelo Mathews (RM) for the other)
7 more bowlers to pick

3x spin 4 x seam(3xFM/F, 1xM)

Probably going with 3 spinners on the crumbling and slow, one on each of the others.

Take one of the M ARs, play both Ms on the green and slow to have pacers fit for the game on hard.

Will leave you with 2 spinners on hard though, not sure how you feel about that.

Thanks for the response. 2 spinners on day 5 should be ok. Maybe we should take 3 and 6 and play 3,1,1,2,1 ?
Wish Green and Slow were not back to back. Makes it hard to manage
