Well, no one wants me in charge of a lemonade stand, never mind another NT team.

Do we even have anyone left these days?
Oh wait of course we do. I forgot about that friendly competition that is still being organised.

Re: SL NT - The New Era
This is easy or what?
Look at this standing. It just speaks for itself. But honestly all credits to rkpny and lesvosace they were amazing in providing feedbacks and add value to the NAT management team.

It has been a phenomenal tour for the SL batters. I have never seen SL bats do so well in NAT arena. Indika, Irfahan, Menika all got hundreds and a few useful but important innings from our star seam specialist Anura Ganegama 74 (80b), 21 (22b), 23 (26b) helped the team stay on wining momentum. But it was his magical 83* from 91b innings on the final day that that showed his true class. He helped the team to dig out from the hole of 4/43 to finally chase the total of 191 on a difficult strenuous final day.
Neomal Irfahan was another star bat of the tour with 48(44b), 76(74b) and 145*(132b). He was the top scorer in the league and a grand total of 269 runs from 3 matches with an average of 134.50.
In bowling Sena Taraka, Ashok Millawabandara and Arawinda Pitigala were top 3 bowlers for SL with 9, 7 and 6 wickets each. There may not be any obvious standout bowler from SL as they all chipped in and contributed to the wins.
Sanath Berugodaarachchi was the best keeper from SL taking 4 keeping catches from 3 matches.
It would be hard to match up this performance from team SL in future. But our younger ones promised that they will give 100% for the next tours to follow the footsteps of their older brothers.

Re: SL NT - The New Era
After the historic 5-0 NOD 1 tour when the manager bura was in cloud 9 and took a long vacation from NAT duties (read gone AWOL which is apparent from his missing tour announcement), Bangladesh brings him right back on the ground from the grand Budapest hotel and shows how lazy the team Sri Lanka has become! After winning the toss in game 1, SL opted to bat first and scored a decent 132 on crumbling/humid. Captain smoke as high as he always been and the name suggests, was licking his lips anticipating another easy victory. But Bangladesh prodigy Ambathi Binny and bura's ex club player, Ersan Ilyasova had different thoughts. It is not clear what secret Ilyasova has divulged to Binny, but it seemed he was playing with different aura and scored a breezy 54 ball 67 to take the game away from SL. Bangladesh won by 5 wickets! Dejected manager bura leaves the scene and gone AWOL again and was seen roaming the beach.
But the assistant Les and rkpny were more resilient and shows true grits for the next 3 games. Taking charge, they inspired to boys to play their potential and SL wins the next 3 games by minimizing their errors. Game 2, they roll out ENG for 110 runs and won by 4 wickets. Fast and Furious Vasu D. took 4/16 and the recruit, Dharmaratna Dinusha took 3/20. The English were sweating on their home ground, Lord's and thinking where they had gone wrong in their tour bidding process. It was not an easy after match press conference for them we must say. Game 3, so far everyone's bunny NL scores 127 batting first. But at one point they were looking to score 160+. Thanks to some clever death bowling by Dinusha, Oshini, and Pitigala they manage to restrict NL to 127 only. Chasing an interesting total SL found themselves reeling at 2/22 and things were looking ominous. They lose star seam specialist and part time tango dancer, Anura Ganegama by 8 overs as well and were at 3/55. But then on Indika and Sanath stabilized the innings nicely and SL got another win by 4 wickets. Game 4, SL faced NZ, run by newly elected and bura's rival manager tungsten. Knowing how important this game is for bura's (though still awol) ego, the fast and furious Vasu G. shows his magic once again. His 3/23 keeps NZ in check and they scored only 114 and were feeling a bit sticky and hot. Some say it was the weather but critics say they were looking like a cat in a hot tin roof in front of Vasu G.'s bowling. The crowd were found saying Vasu likes it hot! But soon SL found themselves in similar situation in front of veteran NZ lefty Worthington and were reeling at 4/53. But then on Indika played like a gladiator with his 44 ball 43 and saved team SL from being blown to div 2.
Suddenly, singing and dancing in the rain, bura comes back. All right boys let's show them how to bat. Let's crush the Aussies he says. But in game 5 the Aussies batted like they forgot it's T20 - slow and steady. After first half 94 to chase was looking doable at least. But again, bura gets betrayed by his own club player Jhye Richardson. Jhye leads the Aussie bowling in front and SL just did not know how to come back from first 3/1 and then 5/22. It was a wicket fest and the Aussie laughter became louder and louder with each wicket. Needless to say, SL were all quiet in the western front. At least thanks to goodfellas, les and rkpny they saved their behind from relegation. Manager bura goes to his hideout again.

Re: SL NT - The New Era
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone with a player in the squad at the moment for giving me such a great bunch of players. Happy to report with the help of Rgdubois it's been a good start to my tenure and that we managed to bring home the division one title in the last t20 tour.
I do have space for another assistant if anyone from the community would like to get involved drop me a message
