We are pushing for promotion as shown by the fact we bidded and won this tour.

All matches will be played at 05:30 GMT time.

We thank all managers for their support.

Finally, if you are wishing to support Sri Lanka U20 by recruiting youth players please note, after successfully recruiting a few quality WS bowlers we now need to look at recruiting a few more Fast & Fast medium bowlers.

However, any youth recruit is helpful.

Yeah I'd love to help but the game is giving me the salute with youth pulls as it usually does.

Sri Lanka U20 have the final tour of the season.

The U20 One Day Tour 3 is about to kick off.

We have won hosting rights so they are at a very convenient time of 05:30.

This will be the last tour for some of our regulars so here's hoping for a successful tour!

This games line-up will be
Premalal Otali
Akila de Mel
Wijaya Raheem
Romesh Coskerie
Hashan Premadasa
Porsche May
Dilum Rajakaruna
Risad Perera - Debut
Chamal Keerthilatha
Baba Jaldeen
Arjuna Deshabandu

We are aiming for promotion which would likely secure World Cup competition for next seasons WC.

The match can be followed HERE

Thank you for your support and remember, keep pulling Sri Lankan!

We are in need of Fast & fast medium bowlers. Wink, Wink

We managed to defeat India yesterday and this has taken us to 2-2 so far.

We now play the Netherlands.
A win could mean promotion and will secure Div 2+
A loss could mean demotion but the most likely scenario would be holding in Div 2

The lineup for todays game is
P. Otali
A. de Mel
W. Raheem
P. May (c)
R. Coskerie
H. Premadasa
D. Rajakaruna (wk)
R. Perera
S. Shiromi
C. Keerthilatha
A. Deshabandu

We have gone very aggressive on a Dry pitch and decided to sacrifice 5 of the first overs to help us later in the match... We are playing 4 spinners!

Will it work?

We didn't demote, we didn't promote....

Another tour of what could've been!

We lost on the final day with the Netherlands chasing down 274.

But we did enough!

We now begin building towards the U20 WC tour at the end of this season.

8 players from the previous tour have now played their final game for the Sri Lankan U20 team and we thank you for your support.

Some changes in the squad will occur today.

Fine margins in the first 2 games in the World Cup. With a bit of last over luck could be top.

I have to first, apologise to the Sri Lankan community. Not only have I not provided updates during the world cup, I also had a series of life events take over which meant for the T20 World Cup I was unable to fulfil my duty.

Thankfully! The structure we have built has allowed that when moments like this occur I have 2 great assistants that can take over and run the show!

Angolvagyok and Chezza are two great FTP minds that took complete charge of the Sri Lanka U20 without me even asking them.

We are lucky to have them in our community!

Secondly, onto the world cup.

It was never going to be easy to emulate the legacy paul has left.

Match 1: Game was decided at the toss. We predicted the team batting second would win with 6-8 down. We lost on the final ball even though we only lost 1 wicket. Very Disappointing
Match 2: Batted second, needed 6 off the last over... Hit 5. Tied.... Nothing more needed. Very Disappointing.
Match 3: Beat New Zealand thanks to a great bowling performance. Great team effort
Match 4: Batted first, hit 7/76 against Australia......... never a hope
Match 5: Season was over but disappointing to lose by 14 runs to USA. Particularly after holding them to 116

From here we now press on to the first National tour and a key tour to secure World Cup qualification.

I thank you all for your support and thank you again for allowing us to borrow your players this week.

Life is boring without National tours!

And were back, South Africa for Dry, Crumbling & Slow pitches.... Our strengths!

Final week before your selection.

For all Sri Lankan supporters. We are currently short WS bowlers at 16yo, like normal.

Any 16yo Spin bowlers are greatly appreciated.

Massive win first up against South Africa.

Sri Lanka U20 won by 65 runs.

Piyankara Wijeratne & Akila de Mel the stars of the show as we batted well and tied them down for a nice NRR boost.

Next up we have the might of Australia who are rating and playing strongly.
