Good luck Summit!
Very interested to see how you'll go without me overruling you and getting in the way!
Very well I expect
So will you aim at the level of my first tenure (2 finals in the first 2 seasons) or second tenure (2 semi-finals in the first 2 seasons)?
Honestly, we dont have the seem depth that others have as you are aware of but I am hoping to at least replicate your Semi Final appearances!

Following on from our last match where we defeated the Dutch by 6 wickets after a MOTM Arjuna Deshabandu 6/34 & a 91* from Bandula Aamir (who has scored 3 50's in 4 matches to start the new season) we today face a strong England U20 team.

Assistant manager Angolvagyok will be taking todays orders.

The squad selected for today will be as follows:
Bandula Aamir
Padman Dabare (c)
Wijaya Raheem
Tilan Amerasinghe
Porsche May (c)
Anura Sivanantham (wk)
Harry Hardluck
Chamal Keerthilatha
Arjuna Deshabandu
Baba Jaldeen
Nishantha Bibee

The match can followed on the link below from 04:30

With 4 matches remaining before the first tour selection of the season, hopefully your player shines and thank you for "lending" them to us.

Unfortunately mid week we were supremely outclassed by a much stronger England U20 team and lost by 75 runs.
Chamal Keerthilatha was the pick of our players with a 5/48 in only his second match as spots for the first tour begin to tighten!

Today we have an early match against UAE U20 in Hot/Crumbling conditions with Chezza and myself taking the orders to trial a few things.

The squad selected for today will be as follows:
Bandula Aamir
Nishantha Andrahennadee
Premalal Otali
Romesh Coskerie
Wijaya Raheem
Porsche May (c)
Dilum Rajakaruna (wk)
Chamal Keerthilatha
Chandrasiri Duwage
Arjuna Deshabandu
Nishantha Bibee

The match can followed on the link below from 22:00

With 3 matches remaining before the first tour selection of the season, hopefully your player shines and thank you for "lending" them to us.

Today we face Pakistan U20 in Hot/Uneven conditions and will be testing the strength of our seam attack.

We have drafted some players in that will be eligible for selection to see how we perform. During this time there will be some changes and alterations to the national squad so we thank you for your patience.

Todays squad:

Premalal Otali
Porsche May (c)
Anura Sivanantham (wk)
Wijaya Raheem

Aravinda Niroshan

All players selected today are likely to tour.

We do request at this stage an emphasis on fielding where possible. We are requesting a minimum of fielding to be Reliable. Some players will miss out on tour when applicable due to fielding.

A friendly suggestion if I may?
It may be worth mentioning the fielding requirements in the NAT blog.
Not everyone reads the forum, and it would be a shame if your choices were limited due to not all managers being aware of the requirements.

We have gone for an older squad to attempt to push for promotion to Division 1 so we can be comfortable in our qualification for the World Cup in 2 seasons. This will be the final tour for 6 players.

We would like to thank all managers for their support in training Sri Lankan youth players and appreciate all managers loaning their players to us for the 5 day tour.

The final day of Tour 1 is upon us.

I intended to provide daily updates, unfortunately I am on holiday so that hasn't happened. Lucky me.

We are down to the final match.

After starting the tour with a horrible loss to the USA where we were 1/125 at drinks only to lose 9/50, we have had some luck fall our way and are sitting in 2nd position with a chance to promote.

We have a huge match with New Zealand coming up. A win gives us a chance to promote, a loss and we should still sit in Div 2 for next tour.

I wont be providing updates on the selected squad as it will be still being decided right up until the first ball.

I thank you for your patience and all your support. Hopefully we can finish this tour on a high with a win against New Zealand.

Please follow the link below to be updated on the match.

Great win over India to jump into 2nd place with a game to go.
Really need things to go right on the last day beating NZ and hoping India don't pile on a big victory over Kenya.
It will be tough but its possible. :thumbsup
