just pulled this bloke today, and seeing that there are no threads for youth pulls, thought that i might as well post where it's most likely to be seen. let me know how you want him trained (batsman, bowler, AR, keeper). he'll be on fielding for the season.

He could be anything.
I don't know what area the current 16yos are lacking, but I would train what your club needs most.
If you have a high level youth academy, I would make good use of it and go AR otherwise it would be a keeper or just a rm bowler with some batting.

Looks a great player! I can only agree with the above from Turbz, go with whatever work best for you. If I had to say then an AR would be great if academy level allows. I'm sure we wouldn't say no to a great keeper or bowler with reas or so batting either. Good luck with him whatever you choose.

lucky for you guys i just switched to a youth farm and have a deluxe youth academy

i'll continue to monitor what i'm gonna need over the next season as it'll be fielding for a season or so, but yeah, seems like it would be a waste to not go AR

The upcoming Senior One Day tour starts 7th December and with that in mind I have been trialling younger players and different line ups in the friendly games with limited success.

Some of the current squad members will be facing their final tour as they will need to step aside for some younger players to progress, however this will be done with natural evolution rather than an all at once revolution and as I look forward to selecting the 18 man touring party I have in my mind the players who will be retiring from the National scene, I have, however already begun the process and promoted three new batsmen to the squad.

I will announce the touring party on Sunday once the deadline passes and let you know who will be touring, we have already qualified, but I would like to see us win some games obviously and I endeavour to do my best as ever with the tactics selected on what will be some challenging pitches.

Tomorrow’s friendly against Canada will be an interesting affair in windy conditions on a slow pitch, I am still working out my batting line up and have also selected a couple of players who haven’t played that many National games, so it will be nice to see how they do.

Hi all,

Well its been a very good and extremely satisfying start to the National One Day Tour!

Day One West Indies v Bangladesh Windy-Sticky

Monday's game against West Indies saw the Tigers emerge victorious by 17 runs! Having won the toss we elected to bat
and posted a decent score of 181. Top scorer was Gony with 33. In reply West Indies made a good start but came up short, stand out bowler for us was wrist spinner Mabud taking 4-34 off 9 overs.

Match Ratings
West Indies Bangladesh
Batting- Top Order 15,597 - 13,679
Batting -Middle Order 12,788 - 13,658
Batting - Tail 6,796 - 5,249
Bowling- Seam 15,165 ( 30 ) - 15,131 ( 30 )
Bowling -Spin 15,083 ( 20 ) - 15,065 ( 20 )
Fielding/Keeping 18,540 - 17,292
Overall 265,210 - 252,494

Day 2 England v Bangladesh Cloudy-Sticky

In today's game we lost the toss call and England decided to bat, a very good decision usually given the conditions!

At this point I need to say that I received some outstanding advice from Turbz regarding batting line up and bowling orders for which I believe were instrumental in us winning today's game, this is precisely why you have assistants at National level, who you can trust and who can give sound advice and knowledge when needed. So thanks where its due today!

England made a reasonable start but were kept in check for most of their innings by some good tight bowling, they batted their full 50 overs and we
restricted them to 168-8 after 50 overs. Stand out bowler S Taher with a fine haul of 3-23 off his 10 overs. The decision to play 4 seam bowlers and 1 spinner was fabulous and worked really well. Our reply was top class, Gony making 32 Sharma 36 and Gupta 43 making the sticky conditions look like an easy surface to bat on. We reached our target and made 171-5 off 42.5 overs.

A really superb 5 wicket win, and I am very happy this evening.

Match Ratings
England Bangladesh
