Richard Pamenter. A 16yo YP, RFM bowler in season 2 that I instantly promoted in to the 1st team.

He ended up being a mainstay for England for a number of years, and spent 13/14 seasons with me.

He played 200 OD games, taking 435 wickets. He had 54 3 wicket games and 15 5 wicket games.
He played 124 T20 games taking 187 wickets, including 22 3 wicket games and 1 5 wicket game.
He played 280 friendly OD games taking 520 wickets, including 69 3 wicket games and 11 5 wicket games.

He took 87 wickets in 42 international OD games!

He basically was the main reason the team won England 1.1 in season 8, taking a league leading 29 wickets in 12 matches. In the 3 seasons he spent in div 1.1, he took 78 wickets in 35 games, mainly on unsupportive pitches. 5 seasons later, back in 1.1, he still managed 25 wickets in 12 matches.

When winning Australia 1.1 in season 22, we had no standout player, and shows just how good Pamenter was.

Even though the above game is a friendly, it was definitely his best game. At the time, Newcastle Knights were probably the best team in the game with a number of internationals. I had Pamenter, who took 5-33 and then put on 41 for the last wicket to win the game!!

In all the seasons I've played the game, not one player has come anywhere near his impact in my side.

From my Affiliate has to be this guy

Over 20000 competitive runs for club and country, not seen anyone beat that yet!

Fair old few from the original team I'd consider legends- Nath Penketh and Aled Swain were 2 of the best allrounders on the game in their times. Original club captain Patrick Penketh still has most the club batting records. More recently Leila Hinds was top wicket taker in Ireland 1.1 4 out of 6 seasons, and had 6 out of 7 in the top 4 (other one was 10th). 211 wickets in 89 games at about 16 apiece is pretty damn good for a top flight career, especially with the quality in that league.

This guy, Mark Jonkman: https://www.fromthepavilion.org/playerc ... rId=137299

Season 3 recruit pulled as a 16yo avg/avg RFM bowler with Gifted Tech. Popped to reas/reas within a couple of weeks.

At this point, most Nat players had reasonable primaries (to put this in perspective, an original squad member of mine made the early Nat side as a 21yo ord bat, reas bowl, avg tech RFS all-rounder and was the Netherlands' first captain.)

As a result, he played seniors from age 16 to 34.

487 SOD wickets in 211 matches.
785 competitive wickets (including 75 for the Netherlands in ODIs - no T20Is back then!)
1329 wickets including friendlies.
63 3WIs, 24 5WIs (SODs only)
BBI 9/29. 1 9-for, 1 8-for, 4 7-fors.

Numbers I will never see again.

Came across this post again whilst browsing the forums. I thought I'd share my legends:

https://www.fromthepavilion.org/player. ... Id=1608433

Jonah Tough

Tobago Saucers

520 One Day wickets at 13.42, 274 Twenty20 wickets at 12.48.

https://www.fromthepavilion.org/player. ... Id=1507362

Urban Walters

Auckland Strikers

10067 One Day runs at 53.83, 7254 Twenty20 runs at 61.47.

Wonderful players who brought much joy to crowds and managers alike (this manager, at any rate). :)

p.s. Has anyone ever had a bowler take all 10 wickets in a match?

My guy was from my first stint in game.

Patsy Okane.

https://www.fromthepavilion.org/player. ... rId=104804

I had only joined and pulled this guy, 30th April 2008 a cap/reas with gifted bowling. His wage was over 3k.He was 17yo but still made Nats.

I was made. I renamed him after my best mate Patsy, who we lost in March this year.
His ave only crept over 8 in the final game by then youths could play in both YOD and SOD and he wasnt rested.

Patsy took a wicket with his first ball in YOD, SOD and Nats. He was my team captain and his batting saved my bacon a few times as well. I sold him after I moved from SA after securing my first D1 title.

Glory days.
