Very low member support for Kenya, I wonder if they would gain more support if they were to change to Afghanistan?
Managing the Kenyan U19 / U20 team has always been tough. However, if you think that Kenya doesn't have support / is a nation that should be replaced, the senior team has consistently performed way better than it should. Currently in div 1 for the seniors OD and won several WCs.... a much better performance than many nations.

Nothing against Kenya what so ever but I know there has been some voices to include Afghanistan at the expense of another nation, and I am neither for or against it, just thinking out loud.
Was just offering one suggestion, nothing more nothing less.

My main point still stands.

The thing I take away from those numbers is the member numbers for Australia, 3 times the numbers of most nations, almost twice there nearest rival, should more focus be put into trying to get some Australian supporters to follow other nations?
I really don’t understand it myself, don’t get me wrong, I am Australian, I am patriotic, but this is a game and if I have more chance of developing a National players simply by pulling from a “smaller, less supported” nation then why wouldn’t I?

Maybe a dumb question, but can Afghanistan be added without having to replace Kenya or another country?
There are 4 other teams in the ICC top 20 you could add. Oman, Nepal, Namibia, Papua New Guinea. Pick another 1, or just allow 1 team to have a bye.

Maybe some players could have dual citizenship or something so they don't have to start completely from scratch.

This is the long term goal for sure. At the moment the player base doesn't allow for more than 18 teams (in fact it probably more suited to about 16). But there's obviously no plans to cull nations, grow the game and the nations will follow!

I'll support PB here, we have talked about it and we need to get to 2000 teams before a heavier discussion is had (currently 1660 odd)
It would take 4 seasons for them to compete in youths and 10 before they would compete in seniors

I've lost a lot of interest in the international scene and the game in general since the change to random country youth pulls for non-members. I'm hanging around to see if the decision is reversed, but I don't have much hope. I currently have 3 players in the Bermuda u21 squad and at least 2 ex-players in the seniors. I used to enjoy being part of the Bermuda community and helping them consistently punch above their weight.
