I'd pick no Nation as the 19th, if it was to replace one of the current Nations as the 18th, then that would be Afghanistan.
Which country are suggesting it replaces?
I'm happy with the 18 countries now, and I'd rather it stay like this than hurt the game by unnecessarily adding a 19th, but if I had to choose it would most probably be someone like Canada or Bermuda.

I think it would be super upsetting to any managers who have an affiliation with nations to just lose their nation (or have it renamed). Some people have put years into nat teams (in different ways) and whilst I agree that I don't think the current format supports a 19th nation (I don't think there's enough nat managers or general player base to go up to 19/20 etc.), I would hate to see a nation essentially deleted.

The only way it would make sense if it was an Australia (ideally) or an England or an India, with the thought it would dilute those supporters across the board and make the nations all a little bit more similarly sized.
Just here to contribute a few cracking commentary lines and spend hours on the transfer market.

Sorry, I think I've misunderstood you, you're not saying you'd want Australia to be removed! All with the thought of making the countries more even, why would anyone want the countries to be equal? I can't think of anything more bland than having 18 teams of all similar standards!

All I am saying is that IF one of the existing teams was to be removed it should be one with a large supporter base/academies/etc. so that there is a chance for a more even distribution of the talent pool.

And I would think that's the last thing that should happen, making all the nations a similar standard would only be a negative. What next, no winners or losers and medals for taking part.

Have you ever seen what freezing a cricket ball does… bends like a banana, at least they wouldn’t need to use sandpaper
